On Sunday, April 17, the mother of two and owner of Allen Rose Wine took to Instagram to share a photo alongside her husband and their two children, Kingsley Rose, 2, and Kodi Jane, 4 months. Kane Brown’s New Album Is Finished And Includes A Duet With His Wife Katelyn
Kane Brown recently opened up about his long-awaited new album with Billboard. During an interview with the outlet, Brown shared that his yet-to-be announced new album is “done and should be out sometime this year.”
“I took time with this album and I love every song on the album. My wife says it’s her favorite album I’ve ever done,” Brown added, before confirming that his wife Katelyn will also be included on the project. He and his wife are expected to sing a duet together on the album.
Brown has been teasing fans with he and Katelyn’s “Mad At This World” duet for a couple of years now.
“She was a pop singer and she put singing on hold and then we had the baby,” Brown previously told Pop Culture. “We’ve been talking about doing a song together and then we just heard this song come in that was perfect for us.”
He continued, “I thought it was a beautifully written song. And so we’re just excited to get that up, kind of release it to the fans. I tell her that she’s my secret weapon.”
The country hitmaker first revealed details about the duet during an interview with Storme Warren on SiriusXM’s The Highway, when Brown told Warren that his wife is the “secret weapon that I’m waiting to unleash.” He also shared that the song “immediately caught” his attention once he heard it.
“So usually, I’ll always just write my songs, but this was actually a pitch that I heard that immediately caught my ears and caught my attention,” Brown explained.
During an interview with Good Morning America in March of 2021, the hitmaker shared a few additional details about the duet.
“We just kind of wrote a song about our background, about how we connected, how we met,” Brown continued. “I wrote my verse by myself, and then the other writers wrote the chorus. So then when I brought it into her, and she listened to it and just heard the story about my side of the story of how we met, she loved it. So it’ll be cool coming together.”
Brown hasn’t shared many details about the new album yet. However, Brown’s project is expected to include his chart-topping hit, “One Mississippi” as well as his latest single, “Leave You Alone.”
The yet-to-be announced project will follow Brown’s EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, released on August 14, 2021, via RCA Nashville/Zone 4. The EP has gone on to earn several hit singles including “Cool Again,” “Worldwide Beautiful” “Worship You” and his Top 40 radio single, “Be Like That” featuring Khalid and Swae Lee.
Additionally, Brown is expected to kick off the next leg of his Blessed & Free Tour in the coming weeks. The trek includes his first-ever Stadium concert in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
