Jon Pardi and his wife Summer Pardi are officially parents!
The country superstar took to social media on Saturday (Feb. 18) to announce the birth of his first child, daughter Presley Fawn Pardi.
“Our Baby girl is here and ready to Pardi haha DAD joke! @summer_pardi,” Jon wrote on Instagram alongside a black and white photo of their new bundle of joy, who is pictured wrapped up in a blanket in the hospital bassinet.
Presley Fawn entered the world at 5:05 AM on Saturday, February 18, weighing 7lbs. 12oz. and measuring 20.25 inches long, according to Jon’s Instagram post.
The couple first announced their pregnancy with PEOPLE on September 22, 2022.
“I’m ready to start a new adventure with my wonderful wife Summer and our new little one — Pardi of three!” the “Me. Saturday Night” singer told the outlet at the time. “I’m really excited to meet our baby and to have someone to ride around the ranch with.”
Jon and Summer Pardi both revealed the news with fans on social media, sharing photos that showcased Summer’s baby bump.
“Wellllll, it happened. No plans, no timing, just a gift from god. I’m ready for it!,” Pardi shared.
Summer simply revealed the exciting news by writing, “Pardi, party of 3!”
At the time Summer told PEOPLE that she “felt great” throughout her pregnancy, however also admitted that she also felt “a little bit tired, but overall really good” and she feels “very lucky for that.”
And while she did say that she was “equally excited and nervous” about becoming a mom, she admitted she is really looking forward to watching her husband, Jon, as a father.
“He’s such a big kid at heart, always the life of the party and has such positive energy so I can only imagine how much fun this little Pardi addition will be for him and our family,” she continued. “I know [being parents] is going to be the greatest gift in the world.”
This may be their first child, however, Presley Fawn Pardi joins the couple’s “Pardi Animals,” including several dogs, cats, goats and cows.
Jon and Summer Pardi marked their second wedding anniversary in November 2022. They wed in an intimate ceremony at Saddle Woods Farm in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Since tying the knot, the North Carolina-born couple have tried to conceive but had no luck until now. So getting to finally celebrate their baby announcement with the world has them feeling even more grateful.
“It still doesn’t feel real to us …. It’s been five years of dreaming of what it would be like if we were lucky enough to be blessed with a baby, and now we get to live that dream,” Summer shared. “It was definitely an interesting two years of ups and downs — the constant letdown month after month can really be hard on a couple. After years of no luck and meeting with doctors who just didn’t feel like the right fit, we decided to take a break, leave it in God’s hands and just enjoy each other and this crazy, fun life we live together … and then surprise, we’re pregnant!”
“You hear so many stories like ours of ‘the moment you stop trying, it’ll happen,’ but when you’re in that situation, it’s really, really hard not to try or not think about it,” Summer added. “It’s just one of those crazy things in life that don’t make sense, and there’s no right or wrong answer. I feel for all of the couples out there who have been through this and especially those who are still in the thick of it.”
The news follows the release of his latest album, Mr. Saturday Night. The project features his chart-topping hit “Last Night Lonely,” his current single “Your Heart or Mine,” as well as fan-favorite tunes “Longneck Way to Go,” “Reverse Cowgirl” and more.
After spending some time with his wife and their newborn daughter, Jon Pardi will return to the road on March 8, where he will headline RODEOHOUSTON in Houston, Texas.
While Jon Pardi doesn’t currently have a headlining tour on the books, he is expected to appear at several festivals and events, including Country Thunder Arizona, Stagecoach, Barefoot Country Music Fest, The Country Fest and more.
