HARDY may be known as an award-winning country artist and songwriter, but it looks as though he has taken up another profession in the entertainment world – that of a WWE star.

The first Monday Night RAW of 2023 took place on January 2 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. And, keeping up with the theme of Music City, the evening featured HARDY (whose real name is Michael Hardy) as a special guest.

The “Wait In The Truck” singer/songwriter, 32, who was seated alongside his manager and wife, Caleigh Ryan, in the front row during the show, joined the ring as part of the Music City Street Fight between Bloodline star Solo Sikoa and Elias. The Music City Street Fight was booked by WWE official Adam Pearce.

A video shared by WWE shows the moment when HARDY made his way from the audience to the ring to assist Elias, a fictional musician who often uses musical instruments during his matches, in the brawl. HARDY then grabbed Elias’ guitar, which was on the floor of wrestling ring, for the ambush. The Mississippi native swung the acoustic guitar at Sikoa’s back, but the move failed to work. Even though the instrument smashed into pieces, Sikoa was too strong for HARDY’s weapon.

After the hit, Sikoa seemingly got angry and turned around to face his new opponent, HARDY.

“Get out of the ring! HARDY, get out of the ring!” The announcers can be heard yelling over their microphones. “Run as fast as your little legs will take you. Go to Memphis! Maybe try Texas. You’re not safe here.”

HARDY managed to escape from the ring unscathed before Sikoa could lay a finger on him. And the moment also helped Elias throw a punch at the Powerhouse Samoan.

“HARDY gets in on the action on #WWERaw! @HardyMusic just blasted @WWESoloSikoa with a guitar and, well… take a look! ,” the tweet reads, alongside the clip posted to the official WWE Twitter page.

After assisting Elias, HARDY took some time to chat with WWE about the moment and why he chose to jump in the ring.

“It had to be done, Elias, I have a soft spot for musicians,” HARDY explained. “My fellow musician needed some help up there and I just felt the need to take it in to my own hands. It’s just something I felt like I had to do.”

HARDY Will Perform “Sold Out” At 2023 Royal Rumble

HARDY’s guest-appearance on Monday Night RAW served as a promotional piece leading up to his upcoming performance at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. The 2023 Royal Rumble will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday (Jan. 28).

The chart-topping country star’s rock-leaning song “Sold Out” is the official theme song for the 2023 Royal Rumble, which makes him a fitting act for the event. He is slated to perform the headbanger during the upcoming Royal Rumble event, which will feature two 30-men and 30-women Royal Rumble matches, and be available for streaming on Jan. 28 at 8:00 pm ET exclusively on Peacock.

“I am so excited and the last time we performed with you guys was during COVID. So, we were performing for a lot of screens, not that we weren’t thankful, but it will be awesome to have the room full of people and to get that real rock ‘n roll show energy,” HARDY added. “So we’re excited to throw down on the 28th in Texas. It’s going to be great!”

He Previously Performed On WWE

This isn’t the first time HARDY has performed for a WWE event. In December 2020, he honored and entertained soldiers with a special two-song concert, which featured “Rednecker” and “Give Heaven Some Hell” during the 18th annual WWE Tribute To The Troops’ event in December 2020. The magical show had army men and women faces appear on giant screens while HARDY threw his heart into his performances.

HARDY Is Gearing Up To Release His New Album & Hit The Road

Along with his recent and upcoming WWE appearances, HARDY has been keeping busy. On January 20, he will release his sophomore album titled, the mockingbird & THE CROW. Fans have already gotten a dose of music from the upcoming 17-track release with previous releases, “SOLD OUT,” “Jack,” and “Wait in the Truck” featuring Lainey Wilson, “Truck Bed,” “Here Lies Country Music” as well as the project’s title track “the mockingbird & THE CROW.” The project will also feature a collaboration with Morgan Wallen titled “Red.”

In February, HARDY will embark on a 16-date headlining trek in support of his forthcoming album. The tour, which features Jameson Rodgers and Blame My Youth, kicks off on Feb. 16, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and currently ends on April 29, with a show in Irving, Texas.

Later this year, HARDY will join Wallen on the road for his One Night At A Time World Tour, which includes supporting acts ERNEST, Parker McCollum, and Bailey Zimmerman.
