Country music icon George Strait will hit the stage in his home state of Texas at Fort Worth’s Dickies Arena for a special two-night-only event this November!
The back-to-back concerts are slated for Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18, with Caitlyn Smith joining Strait for both dates.
The two-night stand acts as a reprise of the “Amarillo By Morning” singer’s two nights spent at Dickies Arena in 2022, with both dates from last year selling out within hours of becoming available to the public for purchase.
Fans can now buy tickets to both shows via Ticketmaster.com.
The “King Of Country Music” Will Soon Tour With Chris Stapleton
The exciting announcement comes on the heels of the King of Country and hitmaker Chris Stapleton joining forces for a handful of epic one-off stadium shows this year in Phoenix, Seattle, Denver, Milwaukee, Nashville (two nights) and Tampa. Little Big Town will join Strait and Stapleton as special guests.
A teaser video shared on Strait and Stapleton’s respective Instagram pages got fans excited about the upcoming tour as they shared their admiration for each other and discussed the stint. In the clip, they also hint at potential collaborations they could create following the summer trek, which could mean studio time together.
“I love George’s shows. There’s nothing to compare it to,” Stapleton says of King George in the clip. “I love doing these shows with George probably more than anything. It’s really fun. It feels like a good thing all the way around. And, when the fans are winning, we’re winning.”
And for Strait, the feeling is mutual.
“When we talked about doing these six shows next year with Chris, it was a no-brainer,” the King of Country, who has charted over 60 No. 1 singles since the beginning of his illustrious career, shares. “For me, I was all in. I love working with Chris, it’s a whole lot of fun.”
Strait then hints, “Maybe something will happen in the future. Maybe we can do something together.”
George Strait Plans To Release A New Album
In addition to news of his upcoming live shows, Strait also revealed in an interview with Cowboys & Indians Magazine in December of last year that he has a brand-new album in the works.
“I like making records and plan on doing another one soon,” Strait shared with the outlet.
He then told the magazine that he is currently in the process of choosing that songs will appear on the project. “I’m narrowing down my song choices now. I’ve always said I’m a melody guy. A great melody can sell a song the best,” he said.
