As her latest single “Footprints On The Moon” continues to climb the charts, Gabby Barrett is working on her next album!

The country superstar teased fans during a recent Q&A with Music Connection, where Barrett revealed that she is working on the follow-up album to her record-breaking debut project, Goldmine, which spawned chart-topping hits such as “The Good Ones” and her debut single “I Hope.”

In the interview, the singer/songwriter and Pennsylvania native said she is currently working on new music for the next project. Barrett even went as far as teasing that she wants to begin trying out the new music during upcoming live shows.

“Right now, I’m working on music for album number two,” Barrett revealed to the publication. “We’re writing and trying to get ready to try out the new songs for our upcoming shows.”

While she is unsure of a release date for her new music, she does promise fans that she wants to “make sure that the music is the best that I can come up with.”

She later added, “I’m definitely excited to release new music, whatever that will be.”

Barrett further confirmed the news of new music coming, via an Instagram live, where she chatted with fans while cooking.

“Yes, we do have new music coming,” Barrett told a fan asking about new tunes. She further teased fans by telling them the new music is coming “soon” and that it “maybe more than one song.”

The mom of one continue to tease, telling fans that she’s “very excited about” the new songs.

Additionally, Barrett will soon be honored at the upcoming CMT Artist Of The Year event in Nashville. 

CMT’s Artist Of The Year will air live from Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Wednesday, October 13 at 9/8c.
