Cody Johnson is the name and classic is the game, always rocking an authentic cowboy look at each and every red carpet. The 2024 CMT Music Awards were no exception, as it appears he rocked his signature ensemble of jeans and boots, all while walking the red carpet with his beautiful wife, Brandi Johnson.
Cody And Brandi Johnson Shined On The 2024 CMT Music Awards Red Carpet
Johnson and his wife arrived at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, where he later took to the stage to open the show with a tribute to the Lone Star State, singing his song “That’s Texas,” in a blue button-down shirt with tiny white spots, blue jeans, and black cowboy boots.
As if this look was not cowboy couture enough, the “The Painter” singer added a massive belt buckle that reads “Champion” to his waist, as well as the nude cowboy hat that he is known for. Meanwhile, Brandi opted for an all white pantsuit that is the perfect definition of country chic, featuring wide leg pants, a vest, and a blazer thrown over the top. With a white marble clutch and white eyeshadow, she tied the whole entire look together, completing the classy ensemble with stunning Hollywood-style curls.
Is Cody Johnson Nominated at the CMT Awards?
Cody Johnson is among the top nominees at the 2024 CMT Music Awards with three nods — Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year for “The Painter” and CMT Performance of the Year for “Human” — tying Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson and Megan Moroney for the potential of taking home the most awards this evening.
While all three nominations are nothing short of sensational, Johnson is in the running for the biggest award of the evening, Video of the Year, even after its 16 nominees were narrowed down to just three.
With either Cody Johnson’s “The Painter,” Jelly Roll’s “Need a Favor” or Kelsea Ballerini’s “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too)” taking home the trophy, will he emerge as victorious? Country music lovers will need to tune into CBS or Paramount+ at 8/7 CT to find out for themselves.
