Fans in Canton, Ohio will have to wait a bit longer to see Dwight Yoakam in concert as tonight’s show at the Canton Palace Theatre has been postponed just hours before he was scheduled to take the stage.

The country music legend, 64, has come down with food poisoning, according to the venue, and is unable to perform.

“Dwight unfortunately has to postpone tonight’s show at Palace Theatre,” a statement on the singer’s social media reads. “Dwight deeply regrets not being able to perform tonight. A rescheduled date will be announced next week.”

The venue elaborated via Instagram with a statement that reads:

“Latshaw Productions regrets to share that Dwight Yoakam has food poisoning and must postpone tonight’s show. Ticket buyers will receive information regarding the new performance date as soon as it is made available. Tickets purchased for tonight’s performance will be honored for the new date. Yoakam’s tour schedule is currently packed through the end of the year and even into 2022, with shows scheduled in various cities around the United States.

Fans can stay tuned to Yoakam’s social media accounts for further updates.

Dwight Yoakam recently made headlines when he teamed up with Carrie Underwood on CMA Summer Jam.
