The Kentucky native recently celebrated his 61st birthday on August 25. On his birthday, Cyrus was pictured with musician FIREROSE, who wished him a happy birthday on social media.

“The world is a better place with you in it,” she wrote. “Happy Birthday Billy ❤️”

He also shared a photo with FIREROSE and most recently revealed that they are currently filming a project together, but did not disclose more details.

“Hanging out in our trailer taking a break from filming. Counting our blessings. Sending love and harmony your way✌🏼,” he captioned a recent Instagram post.

Cyrus made headlines in June of 2022 when he joined Dierks Bentley during CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee, to perform Cyrus’ Platinum-selling hit, “Achy Breaky Heart.”

Following his performance with Bentley, Cyrus took to social media to share photos and praise Bentley and his team.

“What a night to remember! I have been part of 30 Fan Fair/ @cma Music Fests, but none meant more to me than last night!” Cyrus shared. “Can’t thank everyone enough! @dierksbentley, you, your band, and your crew are stellar! Honored to share the stage with you. @elleking you raise the bar on talent, your spirit is a blessing…and to the fans you brought the harmony you are the foundation to this gift we call music.”

Bentley immediately took to the comments at the time and admitted it was a “huge honor” to get to share the stage with Cyrus.

“Dude!! Feelings mutual. It was a huge honor for me and the guys to get a chance to share the stage with you,” Bentley wrote in the comments. “Been a fan from day 1. Still am, and always will be. Sorry I messed up my BRC dance moves. I could use a few pointers next time before we go on stage! Hahaha”

In April of 2022, TMZ revealed that Cyrus’ now ex-wife Tish Cyrus filed for divorce from the singer after nearly 30 years of marriage.

The outlet reported that the divorce records say the Cyrus’ haven’t lived together for over 2 years and cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. Tish requested the court to equally distribute all marital assets.

Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus share five children together, Miley, Noah, Trace, Braison, and Brandi.

The couple previously filed for divorce in 2010 and 2013, both of which were called out after the couple seemingly reconciled.

“We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together,” the couple previously told PEOPLE. “We both went into couples therapy, something we haven’t done in 22 years of being together, and it’s brought us closer together and really opened up our communication in amazing ways.”

Their last public appearance together was in 2020.

Tish and Billy Ray tied the knot surrounded by family and friends in their living room in Franklin, Tennessee in 1993.

Billy Ray Cyrus’ next scheduled tour date is set for Friday, December 2 at the Oxford Performing Arts Center in Oxford, Alabama.
