After nearly 30 years of marriage, Tish Cyrus has filed for divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus.
According to court records (obtained by TMZ), Tish Cyrus has filed for divorce from the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer in Tennessee last week.
The outlet reports that the divorce records say the Cyrus’ haven’t lived together for over 2 years and sites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. Tish is requesting the court to equally distribute all marital assets.
Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus shared five children together, Miley, Noah, Trace, Braison, and Brandi.
The couple previously filed for divorce in 2010 and 2013, both of which were called out after the couple seemingly reconciled.
“We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together,” the couple previously told PEOPLE. “We both went into couples therapy something we haven’t done in 22 years of being together, and it’s brought us closer together and really opened up our communication in amazing ways.”
Their last public appearance together was in 2020.
Tish and Billy Ray tied the knot surrounded by family and friends in their living room in Franklin, Tennessee in 1993.
