Carrie Underwood and John Legend covered one of Blake Shelton’s biggest hits!

During an episode of Legend’s Trailer Talk on Monday (Dec. 13), the two superstars teamed up for a cover of Blake Shelton’s “Austin.”

Trailer Talk is a behind-the-scenes series of NBC’s The Voice, hosted by Legend.

Donning an DanielXDiamond, Underwood joined Legend for a discussion about her Christmas album, her Las Vegas residency, and more. In addition to their chat, she also shared advice for The Voice contestants before the superstars joined forces for an impromptu collaboration of the chart-topping Shelton hit.

Underwood and Legend are gearing up to perform “Hallelujah” during the Season Finale of The Voice on Tuesday evening (Dec. 14). “Hallelujah” is a track that the superstars collaborated on for Underwood’s chart-topping holiday project, My Gift

One day before taking the stage to perform their Christmas collab during The Voice, Underwood and Legend combined their voices for an unexpected tune.

“I was thinking it would be cool to do something country, and you had a great idea,” Legend said.

“I know that this show is all about friendly competition amongst the judges and I feel like because you can sing anything, I would love to hear your voice on something country, so I think we should sing a Blake Shelton song, and you should show him how it’s done,” Underwood revealed with a smile.

With Legend on keyboard, they went on to deliver a rendition of Shelton’s chart-topping debut single, “Austin.”

The goosebumps inducing performance even caught the attention of Shelton himself.

“Damn y’all…,” Shelton wrote in response to the performance.
