Ashley McBryde just announced a 30-date trek, dubbed The Devil I Know Tour, in support of her forthcoming new album, The Devil I Know.
The Grand Ole Opry member and GRAMMY award-winning country star announced the exciting tour news on Monday (Aug. 7) via social media.
“About time this devil hits the road for a proper run of shows…” McBryde wrote alongside the tour’s ad mat. “I’m bringing a few friends with me along the way. Y’all… I can’t wait for this one.”
Tour Is Brought To You By Ariat International
Sponsored by Ariat, a popular boot brand that Ashley McBryde is a longtime fan of and has been partnered with since 2018, the trek will launch on October 7 at Saenger Theatre in Mobile, Alabama.
“It has been exciting to watch Ashley’s career grow over the past five years, and we couldn’t be more proud to support her headlining tour,” said Susan Alcala, VP Partnership Marketing at Ariat.
The Devil I Know Tour, which wraps up in Ireland on January 28, 2024, will feature support from Kasey Tyndall, JD Clayton, Zach Top, Bella White, Will Jones, Corey Kent and Harper O’Neil on select dates. The trek will visit the United States and the United Kingdom as well as Ireland.
Tickets for Ashley McBryde’s The Devil I Know Tour will go on sale beginning Friday (Aug. 11) at 10 AM local time.
The announcement comes after the release of several new songs, including her current chart-climbing hit, “Light On In The Kitchen,” “Learned To Lie,” “Made For This” and most recently, “Cool Little Bars.”
New Album, The Devil I Know
The tunes will appear on her forthcoming new album, The Devil I Know, which is where the upcoming trek takes it namesake.
Arriving on September 8 via Warner Music Nashville and produced by Jay Joyce, The Devil I Know will feature 11 tracks, including the previously released tunes “Made For This,” “Learned To Lie,” “The Devil I Know,” and her top 25 and climbing single “Light On In The Kitchen.”
“When it was time to put together The Devil I Know, my band and I did what we always do: got together in the purple building in East Nashville, played through a bunch of songs and discussed where we wanted it to go,” Ashley McBryde explained. “We decided to take all the things that people tend to give us a hard time for and turn it up.”
She continued, “‘Y’all are too country.’ We leaned into that – more country it is. ‘Y’all are awfully rock leaning for a country artist.’ Is that so? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet. ‘Last thing y’all need is another tender, finger pickin’ song.’ Oh? Tender makes you uneasy, cowboy? I hear you. Let’s see how much more tender we can be. We listened to all those opinions and said, ‘I hear you. I understand what you’re saying.’ But sadly, there’s no room on the record for your opinion. We’ll do what we want.”
