Zac Brown Band shared two brand new tracks, both of which were co-penned by Zac Brown, country superstar Luke Combs, Ben Simonetti and Jonathan Singleton.

On Friday (July 9), Zac Brown Band shared “Out In The Middle” and “Old Love Song,” a pair of singles that come on the heels of Brown’s unifying radio single, “Same Boat,” which was the most-added song at Country radio the week of its impact and is rapidly climbing the charts, nearing Top 20.

“Old Love Song” is a track that combines some of the best love song titles of all times, including songs by Randy Travis, Keith Whitley, Tom Petty, Al Green and so many more.

“This is all the songs that you fell in love to. It was like a puzzle trying to put together all the song titles we really love,” Brown explained. “and making that into a love song. I grew up listening to oldies — songs a lot older than I was. And this song has that feel to it.”

The second track, “Out In The Middle,” praises the simple, hard-working lifestyle while celebrating your country roots.

“‘Out In The Middle’ is southern-rock storytelling about being proud of being country, living a simple life, and working hard,” Brown said. “It’s a tip of the hat to the people who live out in the middle of nowhere and they’re happy being there. People that live in the city often make fun of country people until they come out and experience it for themselves. Then they really get into it. There’s a reason that you stay out there.”

In a recent episode of Apple Music Country’s Today’s Country Radio, Brown shared what it was like writing with Combs and he even admitted that he would love to work with the chart-topping singer again in the future.

“Getting to write with Luke Combs for the first time was great,” Brown said. “He’s got great sensibility for parts and then singing along, man, what a voice. He’s got an incredible voice. So making a demo was very easy. It was really nice not to have to sing everything on the demo. And just little inflections on how he would do melody or how he would do things, it made a nice soup for all of our input together. Luke’s a great writer and of course he’s an amazing singer, and it was fun. I hope we do more together.”
