Walker Hayes and his wife, Laney Beville Hayes, “renewed” their wedding vows this weekend, thanks to their 7-year-old daughter, Everly.
Hayes documented the heartwarming moment on Instagram in a video showcasing the impromptu vow renewal. In the clip, Hayes is seen wearing a long sleeve t-shirt and jeans, while Laney is sporting a sheer veil with athletic wear.
“With help of pastor Gooey we renewed our vows this evening,” Hayes captioned the post.
“Wow you look great, I love your shirt. God, you’re just as beautiful as you were when I dropped you off last night. Wow, that’s quite a veil that you got there,” Hayes told his wife in the video, before she said, “Aw, thanks, just a little underdressed.”
“Here you want to put this flower down so we can properly kiss. This is exactly how we kissed the first time,” Hayes said before planting a big smooch on his wife’s lips.
“Husband and wife. Aw, Romantic,” his daughter said.
After their sweet kiss, Hayes declared, “We now pronounce you husband and wife!”
He also added, “Thank you, thank you very much, thanks for coming to our wedding.”
The pair then praised their daughter’s pastoral skills before the clip concluded.
Fans flocked to the comments section admitting that the moment was “so sweet.”

Walker and Laney recently celebrated their 18th anniversary with a date night at you guessed it – Applebee’s. Bringing his lyrics from “Fancy Like” to life, Hayes shared videos of the couple at the popular restaurant to his Instagram account.
“18 years and we’re still here eating at Applebee’s,” Hayes said.
Walker Hayes met Laney while in elementary school. They didn’t make things official until high school after they starred in a high school play together.
After their first date, sparks flew and the couple went on to date for about seven years before hitting a rough patch in college.
“I didn’t know I wanted to marry Laney until we actually broke up for about nine or ten months right after college, and it was the hardest, it was almost like a divorce,” Walker told Sounds Like Nashville. “We had been together for six, seven years, [but] that volatility that made us so beautiful also made us explosive… I wouldn’t have said a lot of peers or families thought we were the greatest match, but we knew there was something we couldn’t duplicate.”
Walker and Laney tied the knot on June 12, 2004.
Laney has gone on to become a muse for Hayes and has inspired songs such as “Don’t Let Her,” “U Gurl,” “Life With You,” “I Hope You Miss Me,” “Make You Cry,” and more.
The pair share six children Lela, Chapel, Baylor, Beckett, Loxley, and Everly. Their youngest daughter Oakleigh tragically died during birth back in 2018.
