Kelsea Ballerini performed the fan-favorite track “Love Me Like A Girl” during her virtual appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
On Monday (Feb. 1), the country superstar brought the song to life from Nashville’s Bridge Building just across the river from Downtown Nashville, in front of the beautifully lit Nashville skyline.
The singer shared that “Love Me Like A Girl” is basically a handbook on how to be the perfect husband.
“I think it was just us, Morgan [Evans] and I really settling into marriage and me really realizing that were wired so different and me writing the song was giving him like a handbook and I was like ‘hey, here is this, now you have no excuse, when i’m being what you think is irrational, i’m just trying to work through something that you don’t understand,’” Ballerini explained of the track. “that’s normally what I would tell my girlfriends and that normally when I would just go have a glass of wine and put on how to lose a guy in ten days and just zone out. That’s kind of the idea of the song is like love me like a girl, love me like my friends would and you don’t always have to fix it.”
