Kelsea Ballerini shared an unreleased demo of a new song titled “Glad I Didn’t Know” on (Jan. 28).

In the latest episode of Apple Music Country’s Kelsea Radio, the singer shared songs by artists who share the same hometown as her, including Morgan Wallen, Dolly Parton, Kenny Chesney, Pistol Annies and more. During her twelfth and “last episode for a little bit,” the superstar gave fans a taste of some new music by playing an unreleased demo.

“You guys seem to like this sneaky demo I threw in a few weeks back, so I thought, ‘what better way to end it than with one of my unreleased songs,” Ballerini explained. “I wrote this a few years back on the tour bus with Hillary Lindsey and Ross Copperman and I’ve teased it on my Instagram a few times.”

On the topic of if Ballerini will ever release this song, she shared that she is unsure if she’ll “ever properly release it.” Then adding, “so this might be the only life it gets, I truly hope you love this demo.”

In the song’s chorus, Ballerini sings  “These are all the things i’m glad I didn’t know that it takes some rain to grow back / had to find out on my own / these are all the things i’m glad nobody told me / I had to let life show me / all the things i’m glad I didn’t know.”

Ballerini has previously teased this unreleased demo throughout her social media and on an earlier episode of Kelsea Radio on Apple Music Country.

You can listen to the “Glad I Didn’t Know” unreleased demo at the 52:43 mark HERE.
