Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Aldean, spoofed Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy for Halloween 2022 with a nearly four-minute video clip that seemingly pokes fun at the recent Twitter feud between Brittany and GRAMMY-winner Maren Morris.
With Jason channeling Ron Burgundy and Brittany playing the role of Veronica Coringstone, the couple puts on a fictional “NashVegas” newscast. Throughout the clip, which opens with the couple taking shots, they nonchalantly throw jabs at Tweets Morris made about them as well as recent headlines that surrounded the couple.
“🚨 Breaking News🚨 Happy Halloween from Ron, Veronica and the Channel 4 News Team. 🎃👻 #fakenews,” the “That’s What Tequila Does” singer captioned the clip.
The video opens with Jason and Brittany sitting at a fake Channel 4 news desk.
“Good evening NashVegas and welcome to channel 4 news We are 80% unbiased 100% of the time,” Jason says.
They go on to report the “news” of the day.
“Our first story tonight out of NashVegas comes from Luke Bryan, who was recently caught driving all the country girls crazy by eating out of a jar of peanut butter,” Jason says as a video of Bryan eating peanut butter flashes on the screen.
Brittany adds, “And our most unbiased story of the evening, tonight we tell a tale of a wannabe country artist and his wife, Brittany and Jason Aldean.
“Oh I’ve heard of them before,” Jason interjects, before Brittany adds, “yes, back in the news.”
The next “news” report seemingly finds Brittany accusing the public of often twisting her words.
“Apparently, according to Brittany’s recent Tweet, she hates all animals based on the Tweet, ‘I love dogs.’” Brittany quips.
“What a b–ch,” Jason adds.
“Sounds like a PR nightmare,” Brittany declares as the camera zooms in on Jason, which is a potential reference to Jason being dropped from The GreenRoomPR firm earlier this year.
The video continues with the couple referring to the fact that they are often in the headlines.
“Now, most of you may not know who Jason and Brittany Aldean are, but if you like to Google, you potentially find them on page five or six,” Brittany comments, while Jason says, “I actually found them on page thirteen, her and her Busch league country music artist of a husband just need to zip it.”

The final “news” story is a report about Kane Brown trending “yet again” on TikTok.
“Kids love the TikTok and they love when Kane Brown dances!”
“And there you have it and Kane just giving me one more reason why I rarely get on TikTok and that’s our newscast for the night. Thank you guys for tuning in,” Jason says in conclusion.

When signing off, Brittany says, “Stay woke everyone,” as Jason proclaims, “you can be woke in country, so, stay country and we’ll see you tomorrow.”
After poking fun at each other’s appearances, Jason tells Brittany, “you should just shut up and go start a wig and just shut up and sell your wigs.”
The comment references a Tweet Maren Morris made about Brittany, where she said, “sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”

In previous years, Jason and Brittany have dressed up as Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, Characters from Tiger King, and the cast of Game Of Thrones.
Morris recently poked fun at her feud with Brittany Aldean on Twitter as she joined in on the Spirit Halloween trend. The “Circles Around This Town” singer shared a photo of a Halloween costume called “lunatic country music singer,” a costume that includes a tambourine, inclusive fans, pickleball paddle, a wig, and beef with transphobes.

The feud began in late August when Brittany Aldean shared alleged transphobic comments on Instagram.
On Wednesday, Aug. 24, Brittany shared a clip of herself putting on makeup with her 2.2 million followers on Instagram. The XO Britt Aldean owner posted the clip, which was soundtracked to Beyoncé’s 2006 hit “Upgrade U,” with a caption that read, “I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life.”
Jason Aldean commented on her post saying, “Lmao!! I’m glad they didn’t too, cause you and I wouldn’t have worked out.”
Brittany’s post quickly caught the attention of country artists Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris, who publicly slammed the 33-year-old social media influencer in a series of Tweets.
“You’d think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging,” Pope wrote. ”But instead here we are, hearing someone compare their ‘tomboy phase’ to someone wanting to transition. Real nice.”

Morris, a longtime supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, also weighed in on the topic in response to Pope’s Tweet.
“It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie,” Morris wrote, referencing Brittany’s hair extension collection.
Morris also shared a lengthy response to the situation in the comments section of Pope’s Instagram post.
“I’m glad she didn’t become a boy either because we really don’t need another asshole dude in the world. Sucks when Karens try to hide their homophobia/transphobia behind their ‘protectiveness of the children.’ Weren’t they putting their kids in ‘Biden-is-a-pedo’ shirts on social media?” Morris said, referencing the pro-Trump clothing line that Brittany and her children were seen wearing earlier this year. “F-ck all the way off to Insurrection Barbie and the fellow IB’s trolling this comment section with their hypocritical, hateful asses.”
Once Brittany Aldean caught wind of Pope’s response to the gender identity comments she made in her recent Instagram caption, she immediately took to her Instagram stories to retort.
Her Instagram story read: “Advocating for the genital mutilation of children under the disguise of love and calling it ‘gender-affirming care’ is one of the worst evils. I will always support my children and do what I can to protect their innocence. The other day Memphis wanted to be a dinosaur and tomorrow Navy will want to be a cat. They’re children. Some parents want to be accepted by society so badly. That they’re willing to make life-altering decisions for their children who aren’t old enough to fully comprehend the consequences of those actions. Love is protecting your child until they are mature enough as an adult to make their own life decisions. Thankful my parents allowed me to go through my tomboy phase without changing my gender. Until then, leave children alone!”
Brittany later pointed out that one must be 18 years old in order to purchase cigarettes, join the military and vote and argued, “age to take life altering hormone blockers and/or irreversible surgery – a child can choose??”
Jason Aldean mostly remained tight-lipped about the situation, however, he commented “MY Barbie” on one of Brittany’s Instagram posts, referencing Morris’ “insurrection barbie” comment.
After Morris’ made the “insurrection barbie” remarks, Brittany responded by launching a Barbie-inspired merchandise line featuring “Don’t Tread On Our Kids” t-shirts and crewneck sweatshirts.
In the wake of the controversy, Brittany Aldean appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight to discuss the drama. During their conversation, Carlson called Morris a “lunatic” and a “fake country music singer.”
Morris later fired back by releasing “Lunatic Country Music Person” t-shirts, which raised over $150,000 for trans organizations, including GLAAD’s Transgender Media Program and Trans Lifeline.
