Jax shared a catchy song earlier this year called “To All The Boys I Loved Before,” which name-drops country superstar Carrie Underwood and references her chart-topping hit, “Before He Cheats.”

Several months after the track’s initial release, the song finally made its way to Underwood and ultimately earned her an invitation to come out to see the Oklahoma native during her jaw-dropping Reflection Residency at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas. Not only did she get to see the visually stunning show, but she also got to meet Underwood and even have her join her for a comical TikTok video.

Earlier this week, the fast-rising star shared a video on TikTok from backstage at Underwood’s Las Vegas Residency that included a special cameo from Underwood herself.

I MET CARRIE UNDERWOOD AFTER I PUT HER NAME IN MY SONG AND I CAN’T BREATHE 😭😭 @Carrie Underwood,” Jax captioned the clip.

“I love 2 guys from Connecticut / with 2 closets full of skeletons / and I couldn’t be a therapist for them / and I loved a kid from Hollywood / and he cheated on me cause he could / and I went full Carrie Underwood on him,” Jax is seen singing, before Underwood joins her with a baseball bat in hand. The clip continued as Jax held her head in shocked and danced it out with Underwood.

Not long after Jax shared the clip, Underwood took to the comments to share that the rising star’s song is a true earworm.

“So awesome to see you! I can’t get this song out of my head now! ❤️” Underwood commented on the post.

In disbelief of Underwood’s participation in the clip and commenting on her post, Jax replied to the “Ghost Story” singer saying, “Am I alive. Am I alive right now. 😭 thank you for being so down to earth and giving us the performance of a lifetime queen!”

A few days after the video made its debut on TikTok, the country superstar shared a Reel to her Instagram, which she captioned, “This was fun 😜 Thanks for coming to see #REFLECTION@jax!”

Raised in New Jersey by way of New York, Jax, who has amassed over 8.4 million followers on TikTok, released the viral tune “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” in January 2022.

“‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’ is an ode to my relationship history,” Jax shared at the time of the song’s release. “Instead of being upset about the mistakes I’ve made or the guys I made them with, I wanted to write something about how much I can appreciate the wrong things because they led me to the right thing!”

Since releasing the song, “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” has quickly gained traction on TikTok and earned millions of streams throughout DSPs.

She also shared a comical music video for the track, directed by Damian Fyffe (Jonas Brothers, Drake), which you can watch below.

Underwood’s Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency continues this Spring with shows from May 11-21.
