Ashley McBryde brings Lindeville to life with the release of her brand-new music video for “Brenda Put Your Bra On,” the opening track from her critically-acclaimed project Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville.

The Arkansas-native — who is currently nominated for two Grammy Awards, including Best Country Album for the project — brings in familiar faces and album collaborators Pillbox Patti and Caylee Hammack to join her for the spunky video. Directed by ACM Award winner Reid Long, the video shows the three country stars dodging flying objects as Brenda exacts her revenge.

“As soon as we recorded this song, we knew we wanted to make a video for it,” reflected McBryde. “It’s the start of the action in Lindeville. There were a lot of ways we could have shot the video, yet Reid had the idea to capture all the insanity and drama in one continuous take, which feels very in tune with the spirit of this entire project…,” joked the CMA Award winner, before adding, “how Lindeville of us!”

Produced by John Osborne, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville secured McBryde her third consecutive Grammy nomination for Best Country Album, following her 2018 Warner Music Nashville’s Girl Going Nowhere and her 2020 project Never Will. The album takes fans into a fictional small town of drinkers, cheaters, sinners and Jesus believers called Lindeville, featuring performances by Brothers Osborne, Brandy Clark, Aaron Raitiere, Patti, Hammack and Benjy Davis.

The unique collection of songs was inspired by the writing methods of Nashville songwriter Dennis Linde, known for his legendary tracks “Goodbye Earl,” “Burning Love,” and “Bubba Shot the Jukebox.”

“A few years ago, Aaron Raitiere, Nicolette Hayford and I were on a write,” shared McBryde on the birth of the concept for the project. “We wrote this song called ‘Blackout Betty,’ and I realized we had written previous songs called ‘Shut Up Sheila’ on Never Will and ‘Livin’ Next to Leroy’ on Girl Going Nowhere. Aaron had a song called ‘Jesus, Jenny,’ and I thought, ‘We should keep these characters together and give them a place to live!’

“Not long after that, I thought, ‘What if we call it Lindeville?’ in honor of Dennis Linde. I want to lock six writers in a house and just spend six- or seven-days writing. We stayed in Tennessee in this little house close to a lake. It was eight bottles of tequila, two cartons of cigarettes, one kitchen table and six individuals out of their minds.”

McBryde wrapped up 2022 with an amazing honor: being inducted as the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry. This year, she invites fans to join her at the iconic Ryman Auditorium to take part in Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville Live, an event that features collaborators and special guests who will perform tracks from her newest album on Feb. 15 and 16.
