Thomas Rhett and Niall Horan surprised fans at C2C: Country To Country Festival at the O2 Arena in London on Friday (Mar. 10) with a special duet.
The country superstar and former One Direction member joined forces in the midst of Rhett’s headlining set to sing a duet of Horan’s fan-favorite hit, “Slow Hands.”
“Me and the band learned this song yesterday and we rehearsed it this morning. So, we’re going to give it our best shot. Will y’all please welcome to the stage Mr. Niall Horan,” Rhett said before the season 23 The Voice coach joined him on stage.
The pair then delivered an epic duet of the tune, which appears on Niall Horan’s debut solo album, Flicker. The performance marked Horan’s first live performance in two years.
“Slow, slow hands / Like sweat dripping down our dirty laundry / No, no chance / That I’m leaving here without you on me / I, I know / Yeah, I already know that there ain’t no stoppin’ Your plans and those / Slow hands (woo) / Slow hands,” the artists sing on the chorus of Horan’s highest-charting single.

“Love ya bro! Thanks so much for joining us in London last night! @niallhoran @c2cfestival,” Rhett wrote.
Will Thomas Rhett And Niall Horan Join Forces For A Collaboration?
Rhett, 32, and Horan, 29, are longtime friends and have written songs together “a couple of times,” and hope to one day find the right song to record as a duet.
“I feel like every time me and Niall are together we threaten to do some sort of collaboration,” Rhett previously admitted (per Music News). “We have written a couple of times but I don’t think we have written the song yet for us to do. We stay in touch, especially when he’s in town. He’s just a good buddy. I love Niall and his solo projects.”
“It would be a lot of fun to just find a week and be like, ‘We’re going here and we’re going to write and whatever the best one is, we’re going to do it together.’” Rhett continued. “I can see there being a me and Niall collaboration in the next couple of years.”
Ahead of his performance at C2C: Country To Country, Rhett sat down with Absolute Country to tease his headlining set.
“These are some of my favorite shows in the world to play,” Rhett admitted, before revealing that his good friend would join him onstage in London. “I’m thrilled to be able to headline them alongside Lady A and Zac Brown. I think I’ve got another buddy coming out, but I will save that to be a surprise. He’s still on the fence with if he wants to sing with me or not, but I texted him the other night and I was just like ‘man, do you want to sing with me in London?’ He said ‘can I do it in my underwear?’ and I said ‘absolutely.’ So we’ll see.”
