Last but certainly not least, Taylor Swift arrived at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards looking as stunning as ever, rocking a Reputation-coded outfit that has caused quite a bit of chatter around UBS Arena and beyond.

Stemming from Christian Dior’s Resort 2025 collection, the black and yellow ensemble featured a plaid pattern from head to toe, including a zip-up corset top and a long train in the back. The revenge look was complete with black, edgy accessories, including a mini skirt, lace-up leather gloves, thigh-high leather boots, and more.

To tie the whole look together, the “Bejeweled” singer added a plaid choker that perfectly matched the pattern of her gown, proving to not only be a “Mastermind” in the writing room, but also on the red carpet.

As far as the glam goes, Swift brought the drama to an all-time high with a head-turning black eye look and a red lip, as well as straight bangs and silky waves as her hairstyle.

Fans were hopeful that they would make their red carpet debut at the 2024 VMA’s, however, the only thing missing from Swift’s red carpet look was her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Given the fact that the NFL football season is just beginning, it is safe to say that the Kansas City Chiefs player is back in Missouri preparing for the upcoming game, although he is greatly missed at the award show tonight.

Taylor Swift and Post Malone win Best Collaboration for “Fortnight” 2024 MTV Video Music Awards

To kick off the award show, Taylor Swift and Post Malone took the stage to accept the award for Best Collaboration for “Fortnight” at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

Beginning her acceptance speech, Swift took the time to honor those who died in the September 11 attacks, which took place 23 years ago, today: “I just want to say, you know, waking up this morning in New York on September 11th, I’ve just been thinking about what happened 23 years ago. Everyone who lost a loved one and everyone that we lost… That is the most important thing about today, and everything that happens tonight falls behind.”

She then proceeded to praise the artist she collaborated with on the VMA Award-winning tune: “There is a very clear reason why Post Malone is everyone in music’s favorite person to collaborate with, and it is because you are so ridiculously talented, you are so versatile, and you’re the most down to earth person. Honestly, so unfailingly polite.

She joked, “It has taken me forever to get him to stop calling me ma’am,” ultimately concluding her acceptance speech.

Aside from this award, Swift is nominated for nine others this evening, hoping to bring home the “Moon Man” for Video of the Year in particular. With said award, she would extend her record-breaking streak for Video of the Year, becoming the only artist in VMAs history to three-peat and win five times overall in the category.
