Sleeping With Sirens’ frontman Kellin Quinn has announced that he started a solo project called Downer Inc and is in the process of working on a 6-track EP. The project is Quinn and Cameron Mizell, the producer behind Sleeping with Sirens debut album, With Ears To See And Eyes To Hear, and their album Feel.

“Yeah, so I started a solo project called Downer Inc, and it’s me and Cameron Mizell who did our first couple albums, he did Feel and he did With Ears To See And Eyes To Hear. He and I are just trading music back and forth, I’ve got a little microphone setup here that the people at Telefunken sent me and i’m just working on electronic stuff.” Quinn explained.

When asked what the music will sound like he said: “It’s kind of a mix between like Radiohead meets Crosses and it’s really cool man, it’s like music you can put on at night or when your driving to just kind of have it in the background. Sirens is very loud and obnoxious, so this is kind of the whole opposite of that.”

With Ears To See And Eyes To Hear recently celebrated its tenth anniversary in March, which Quinn says is how the conversation of this solo project came about.

“That’s how this conversation initially started with the album turning ten and us kind of reconnecting and I was just like since we’re home, we might as well make some music. So he started sending over some cool electronic shit and I got inspired and here we are, we are already 5 songs in out of 6, so we only have one more to do.”

Since the interview Quinn has tweeted that the fifth song was completed and they are moving on to the final song on the EP.

During the interview Quinn also told Major that “Work Of Art” is one of the tracks off the forthcoming solo EP and will feature Eliza Grace. He also tweeted about this previously, which you can see below.
