SixForty1 has been conquering the road touring with Brantley Gilbert, Walker Hayes and more in support of their latest single “Next Kiss,” which has quickly amassed over 1 million views in a very short time period. While the band works on releasing some new music, they are touring to expand their fan based which is rapidly growing. The band is going to be hitting the sea with Gilbert on his ‘Kick It In The Ship’ cruise this November and we sat down with them to discuss what fans can expect on the cruise and more. Check out the full interview below.

You’ve been opening up for Brantley Gilbert on the road, how have the shows been going for you guys on the opening slot of the tour?
They’ve been going great. We love being on the road and interacting with fans, especially his. It’s the best part of this whole process. Brantley’s crew has been amazing to us. We couldn’t ask for much more.

Coming up in November, you will be headed out on Brantley Gilbert’s ‘Kick It In The Ship’ BG Cruise traveling from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico on a 4-day cruise. What are you most looking forward to onboard the cruise?
The buffet for sure. There’s nothing like a chicken tender at 3am to wind down the night. In all seriousness, we can’t wait to play multiple shows and interact with the best fans out there.

What can fans expect from your performance on the cruise?
High energy and a lot and a few new tunes. We’ve been writing a lot and can’t wait to release these songs.

What will guys be doing in Cozumel, Mexico when the cruise docks there for the day?
Definitely going to try to go four-wheeling and snorkeling. Come find us if your down to go.

The BG Cruise has a few theme nights, which one of those nights is called the ‘Redneck Yacht Club,’ What redneck yacht club attire will you guys be wearing?
Gotta bring out the jorts and the cutoffs.

There are a lot of unique activities on the BG Cruise like Flip clip tournaments, bowling with Brantley and more, will you guys be participating in any unique experiences while on the cruise?
Oh yeah for sure. If you’re up against SixForty1, you’re goin down.

You song “Next Kiss” just hit 1 million streams on Spotify just 5 months after its release. How does that feel and did you ever think your song would be heard by so many people just a few months after its release?
We always thought our songs had the potential, but we never thought one of our songs would actually hit 1 million streams, so to have 3 of our songs to have hit a million is special.

The last time we talked to you guys, You were about to perform at CMA Fest. How did your performance there go and what was your favorite moment of the weekend?
The show was definitely our favorite moment. It was packed and the fans were great. We got that chance to play some new songs which is always fun for us.

What is coming up next for SixForty1?
We have a lot of cool stuff in the works. Our team is working hard to make 2020 a big year for us and we couldn’t be more excited. We also might be dropping a couple songs this fall..
