Shay Mooney of country duo, Dan + Shay, joined his sister, Gabrielle Mooney onstage for a surprise duet at a recent show.
Mooney joined forces with his sister on he and Dan Smyers’ collaboration with pop singer, Justin Bieber, “10,000 Hours.” Mooney’s sister posted video of the performance to her TikTok account.
“My Nashville show was incredibly special,” Gabrielle wrote. “This moment was def a highlight with my insanely talented brother that I won’t forget,” she continued, adding a heart emoji to the post.

The show took place at “Nashville Hits The Tin Roof,” a country concert series that’s designed to support the next generation of country artists via Tin Roof Venues, according to Instagram.
“We’ve had the absolute best time touring ‘Nashville Hits The Tin Roof’ so far!!!,” Gabrielle shared on social media following the show. “The Nashville show was so lit THANK YOU to every one of our friends and family that came out 💕,” she continued.
Gabrielle Mooney announced tour dates for the “Nashville Hits The Tin Roof” series back in December via Instagram. She later shared an updated list of shows with dates that were re-scheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gabrielle Mooney also previously played shows at Tin Roof Delray Beach and Tin Roof Orlando, according to a social media post. At the time, she shared she was writing new music as well.
She released her emotional single, “Pray For You” in 2020, which was co-written with Jimmie Deeghan and Zach Lockwood. Since sharing the song, she’s released pop/country track, “Bad” in 2021, which premiered the track with Country Now. The autobiographical track is a conversation between the singer and God where she examines her bad habits.
Meanwhile, Mooney’s older brother, Shay and his collaborator, Smyers, who make up the award-winning country duo, are currently serving as direct support on Kenny Chesney’s Here and Now 2022 Tour alongside fellow country artists Carly Pearce and Old Dominion.
“We’ve been going to this tour as fans for over a decade and it’s an absolute DREAM to be a part of it. Look for us in the crowd every night singing every word to every song. Can’t wait to see y’all on the road in 2022,” the duo said.
