After a decade of working towards being a established singer/songwriter, viral TikTok sensation Bear Bailey has signed a record deal and is gearing up to release his first single!

On Tuesday, May 3, the country crooner, who first went viral singing covers in a Louisiana gas station on TikTok, unveiled the exciting news that he signed with Play It Again Entertainment, the label division of Dallas Davidson’s PIA Music Group (PIA), which is home to artists such as Walker Montgomery and Dylan Marlowe.

In addition to signing a record deal with PIA, Bailey also announced his debut single, “Put Your Heart On My Tab,” a tune that is expected to appear on a larger project in the future.

The fast-rising star shared a teaser of the tune on social media ahead of its release.

“Damn / No one ever seen a face like that / lookin’ so fine and so sad / and I’m sorry but I ain’t the guy who can leave you like that / you need a quarter for a heart broke song / or a double shot of a hundred proof strong / well you can lean on me,” Bailey sings in the clip.

He then belts out the anthemic chorus, “Put your heart on my tab / put your name on my lips / where I’m sittin’ / underthinkin’ while we’re overdrinkin’ / just might do the trick / so what if you’re all done with love / don’t hold back girl / words of whiskey / lay it on me / whatever you’re gonna have / put your heart on my tab.”

Fans adored Bailey’s covers on TikTok so much that it earned the fast-rising country singer over 100 million views and 3.2 million followers on TikTok as well as praise from country superstars such as Brett Young, Luke Combs, Mitchel Tenpenny, Gary LeVox, and Keith Urban, who even featured a clip from his cover of “Till Summer Comes Around” within his Las Vegas residency last year.

In late April 2021, Bailey launched a new series, dubbed Gas Station Sessions, where he will perform covers at a gas station. He kicked off the series with a cover of the Rascal Flatts’ hit, “Prayin’ For Daylight.” The song, which was co-written by Steve Bogard and Rick Giles, was released in 2000 as Flatts’ debut single from their self-titled debut album.

In the recently released clip, Bailey is joined by guitarist Seth Michael and puts his vocals on full display with the Flatts’ hit.

Gas Station Sessions will continue to pay tribute to his hometown, his fans and to the roots of his discovery.
