The best thing about singing karaoke is the prerogative to belt out a Shania Twain song! That’s what country music fans all over seem to be doing when they take up the microphone at a bar or a wedding. Twain’s 1998 chart-topper “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” has earned the title of top karaoke hit of all time according to Billboard’s new list: “100 Greatest Karaoke Songs of All Time.”

The publication debuted the ginormous list on Wednesday (Oct. 5), and included other song titles like Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places,” David Allen Coe’s “You Never Even Called Me By My Name,” and Miley Cyrus’ “Party In The U.S.A.” Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way” was a close runner-up to Twain’s sing-along, falling into the No. 2 spot. But, it was Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like A Woman,” which includes the famous opening phrase, “Let’s go, girls!” that took home the win.

“Man! I Feel Like A Woman” appears on Twain’s 1997 crossover album, Come on Over. Now over two decades later, it’s clear the Grammy-winning smash, written by Twain with ex-husband Robert John “Mutt” Lange, has taken on universal appeal in people’s minds.

And while Twain, 57, has already earned such names as The Queen of Country Pop and The Best Selling Female Country Artist of all Time, the latest nickname in her growing collection has her feeling pretty tickled. So much so that she recently took to social media to share her reaction to topping Billboard’s karaoke list.

Twain posted a throwback video on TikTok of her singing karaoke with a man during what looks to be a celebration of sorts.

I think @billboard just crowned me the Queen of Karaoke?! 😂 Man! I Feel Like A Woman! is the greatest karaoke song of all time apparently. So it’s only right… show me what you’ve got! Send me your karaoke videos 🤠 #letsgogirls #karaoke

“I think @billboard just crowned me the Queen of Karaoke?!” the country music icon jokes, inserting a surprised crying laughing emoji into a caption beneath the video. “😂 Man! I Feel Like A Woman! is the greatest karaoke song of all time, apparently.”

Twain then encouraged followers to post clips of themselves singing karaoke

“So it’s only right… show me what you’ve got! Send me your karaoke videos 🤠 #letsgogirls #karaoke.”

What’s even cooler is despite the female empowerment lyrics that can be heard in “Man! I Feel Like A Woman,” the catchy tune isn’t just reserved for women. Pop music sensation Harry Styles was recently seen covering the crossover smash with Twain during his concert at 2022’s Coachella in Indio, California.

Twain is, of course, singing new songs these days. The Canadian songstress recently dropped a new and intoxicatingly energetic track titled, “Waking Up Dreaming.” The dance-infused number is Twain’s first release since 2017’s Now album and her first via her new label partner, Republic Nashville.

The new Twain tune signals a new era for Twain as she also debuted fresh cover art for the single. The cover art finds her posing shirtless in a satin sheet while rocking a cowgirl hat and a pair of abstract-styled fashionable boots.

“Waking Up Dreaming” is the first taste of what fans can expect to hear from Twain’s highly anticipated upcoming album, due out sometime in 2023.
