The induction ceremony is slated for Thursday, Oct, 19, 2023 at Mooresville, N.C.’s Mooresville Performing Arts Center. Betty Davis, Bill “Fatback” Curtis, Fetchin Bones, George Beverly Shea and Loudon Wainwright III will also be inducted alongside the “Five More Minutes” singer as the 2023 class.
In addition to each honoree’s induction into the Hall of Fame, the special event will feature unforgettable live performances from McCreery, Fetchin Bones, Wainwright and more.

“I Am Truly Thankful”
“Anyone that knows me knows how proud I am to be from North Carolina,” shared McCreery of the great achievement. “It is an honor to be recognized by the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame and included with this great 2023 class of artists. It’s also a bit surreal knowing I will be joining some of my musical heroes who are already in the Hall, such as Randy Travis, Ronnie Milsap, Charlie Daniels, and James Taylor, as well as friends like Eric Church and Kellie Pickler. I am truly thankful.”

Made History In 2011
The North Carolina native made history when his 2011 record, Clear as Day, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s all-genre Top 200 Albums chart — making McCreery not only the first country artist to achieve this feat, but also the youngest male artist of any musical format to do so.
Since his wildly successful debut album, McCreery has proven to be one of the top country music entertainers with five consecutive No. 1 tracks, various Gold and Platinum albums and singles, sold-out shows across the globe and most recently, two new certifications that he earned from The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His megahit “Five More Minutes” secured RIAA Triple-Platinum Certification and his smash song “Damn Strait” snagged RIAA Platinum status.
“I’ve always said that ‘Five More Minutes’ is my favorite song I’ve ever written. For it to become my first Triple Platinum single means it has really connected with the fans, and as a songwriter that’s what you hope for,” commented McCreery. “‘Damn Strait’ is one of the most fun songs I get to sing live each night. I’m excited to see the success of both of these songs recognized by the fans and the RIAA.”
“It Matters To Her”
As McCreery continues to hit career highs, his current single, “It Matters to Her,” is taking the charts by storm as his fastest rising single to date. Written by Scotty with Rhett Akins and Lee Thomas Miller, the song is in the top 5 on the Mediabase chart and has secured a spot in the top 7 on the Billboard chart.
Scotty McCreery is currently on the road for the Brooks & Dunn REBOOT Tour, with eight shows remaining on the stint. Fans can also catch him on the road for solo dates throughout the summer.
