Reba McEntire revealed if she and boyfriend Rex Linn will ever get married in an interview with Extra. McEntire spoke with Extra while promoting her Revived Remixed Revisited box-set back in 2021.
McEntire discussed her relationship with Linn after mentioning that her song, “I’m A Survivor,” which was included in the box-set, had trended on TikTok. McEntire used the song in a video where she could be seen feeding her and Linn’s two donkeys, telling the program’s Alecia Davis the video was Linn’s idea.
“Rex Linn my boyfriend… He directed and did the camera work on my part with our two donkeys,” McEntire said of the video. “I think Rex was really promoting their career more than mine,” she joked.
In sharing more about her relationship with Linn, McEntire told Davis the pair’s nicknames for each other.
“I’m Tater Tot, he’s Sugar Tot — we’re the Tots,” she said before labeling Linn as a “great storyteller, total gentleman, and hysterical.”
“He loves to work, I love to work… We were both wannabe cowboys, cowgirls and then got into the entertainment business. We have a lot of similar loves and passions… We just get along so well and I’m just very grateful,” McEntire added when asked what made her and Linn so well-suited for each other.

The singer also answered one very important question: whether or not she and Linn will ever get married.
“We’ve talked about [marriage] and giggled about it. We thought, ‘Man if we ever had a ceremony, we would have to have a 2 o’clock, 4 o’clock, 6 o’clock and at 8 o’clock ‘cause we have so many friends, acquaintances, and family,” she explained.
Prior to dating Linn, McEntire was married to Narvel Blackstock for 26 years, divorcing him in 2015. Before Blackstock, McEntire was married to Charlie Battles for 11 years, ending things with him in 1987.
Linn has made appearances in a couple of McEntire’s TikTok videos, including one where the pair duels for their French Bulldog, Riddler’s love with a twist on McEntire’s hit song, “Does He Love You.”

Linn, an actor on CSI, also accompanied McEntire to this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards back in March. Linn sported a black suit while McEntire opted for an emerald green sequin dress.
