Following the release of their 2016 album, Misadventures, Pierce The Veil have been quiet with the exception of their recent livestream event.

According to New Fury Media, on August 16, Pierce The Veil frontman Vic Fuentes addressed a concern via a comment on Instagram, when a fan asked if his brother Mike Fuentes will be appearing on their upcoming new album. This concern comes as in 2017 Mike was accused of sexual misconduct and he initially made the decision to “step away” from the band, but it was never made clear if he would return and now Vic has clarified that for fans.

Vic has now confirmed in a comment on his Instagram post that Mike Fuentes is no longer in the band and hasn’t been since 2017, despite his appearance in their recent livestream back in early April 2020. Vic continued to say that “Mike actually left the band back in 2017.”

The frontman then confirmed other more exciting news, that is that the band has been working on a new album and hope to begin touring again in 2021.

“Actually no Mike left the band back in 2017 but we’re currently working on a new album and hoping to start touring again next year!” said Vic Fuentes in a comment. “Stay safe out there!”

Pierce The Veil are currently in the works of finishing up their new album, which will serve as the follow up to their 2016 album, Misadventures. Frontman Vic Fuentes also recently announced his new position as CEO of Living The Dream Foundation.
