Green went on to tease the upcoming underwear campaign, however refrained from divulging too many details about the photo shoot.
“Are you just an underwear like naked?” Bones asked, to which Green replied, “We’ll see.”
Bones then pressed Green on the topic.
“Doing an underwear ad?” Bones questioned. Green joked, “well yeah. We’re for sale.”
“Very” Uncomfortable Photo Shoot
Amy Brown, co-host of The Bobby Bones Show, later inquired about the “uncomfortable” nature of Green’s photo shoot with the undisclosed underwear brand.
“Is that uncomfortable though?” Brown said, surveying Green on his experience posing for an undergarment ad campaign for the first time.
“Very… yeah… Well, I mean, they had me doing a lot of different things,” Green continued. “I wasn’t really in my underwear the whole day, they got t-shirts and socks to make other stuff.”
Unexpected Opportunity
Reflecting on the unique opportunity, Green admitted that it wasn’t something he anticipated doing at this stage in his life.
“But it’s, yeah, it’s different. It wasn’t really something I was expecting to be doing with my life at 34,” Green admitted.
An official release date for Riley Green’s underwear campaign has yet to be unveiled.
The Alabama native is currently on the road with Luke Combs on his 2023 World Tour, which kicked off on March 25 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Wrapped Up Tour With Luke Combs
Green recently wrapped up his support slot on Combs’ massive world tour, which concluded in Philadelphia, PA at the Lincoln Financial Field, which is home to the Philadelphia Eagles.
During his discussing with Bones, he opened up about touring with Combs and compared those massive stadium shows to his own headlining dates.
“There’s a big learning curve to play in a show like that too. It’s great about it is we play one stadium a week and I still go play my own headline shows and small arenas, amphitheaters, even some clubs and kind of seeing the intimate side of it and then that big just giant stage,” he added. “It’s been awesome. And getting in front of 50 something thousand people, something you kind of never really dreamed of getting to do. And I think Luke’s fan base is, they’re rowdy and kind of aligns with some of the music I put out. So it’s been really good. It’s been a great tour to be.”
Each night of the tour, the pair of hitmakers joined forces to perform, “Does To Me,” a track that originally features Combs with Eric Church.
“Different Round Here” Duet With Combs
In addition to singing the duet live on the road, Green and Combs released “Different Round Here,” a reimagined collaborative version of Green’s gold-certified standout track.
The song was originally released as a track on Green’s 2019 album of the same name and has remained a fan-favorite ever since, amassing nearly half a billion streams to date. Upon impacting Country radio, the song garnered an impressive 85 first-week adds and became the most-added song that week and BMLG Records’ biggest add day since 2020.
“Ever since we originally released the song a few years ago, we have seen so many military families, athletes, and hard-working everyday people use the song in their own videos,” Green explained in a recent press release.
The Song Previously Appear On Green’s 2019 Album Of The Same Name
“Different ‘Round Here,” is produced by Dan Huff and written by Green with Randy Montana and Jonathan Singleton. Adding a bit more production to the latest version, Green draws from his Alabama roots as he puts his beliefs on display and speaks on the value of family, hard work, and showing gratitude for those who fight for freedom. Their humble beginnings shine through the upbeat melody and vocals that represent true country music.
Combs delivers the second verse before joining Green on the chorus as they sing, “Brave is 18 wearin’ army green / Truth is in the words, in red we read / Proud is what you say about where you’re from / Heroes are daddies and mamas are love / The right is right and wrong is wrong / Yeah, we’re doin’ things a little different ’round here.”
Additionally, Green is slated to appear at a number of fairs and festivals including Voices of American Country Music fest, Boots and Hearts 2023, Bulls, Bands and Barrels and more.
