Paris Hilton is revealing a page in her story that the world has yet to read— a rebellious teenager who juggled abuse and global stardom. Penned by Paris herself, the upcoming book Paris: The Memoir promises a genuine tale of courage, honesty and humor.

“Paris Hilton is ready to take stock, place it all in context, and share her story with the world,” a press release read, “Separating the creation from the creator, the brand from the ambassador, Paris: The Memoir strips away all we thought we knew about a celebrity icon, taking us back to a privileged childhood lived through the lens of undiagnosed ADHD and teenage rebellion that triggered a panicked — and perilous — decision by her parents to send her away.”

The memoir will dive deep into the billionaire heiress’s childhood and teenage years, giving readers an intimate and never-before-seen glimpse of the young Hilton. She plans to expand on the shocking trauma and hardships of isolation, beatings and brainwashing disclosed in her 2020 YouTube documentary, This Is Paris, from the privileged background of a typical adolescent girl.

Hilton will also be “recounting her perilous journey through pre-#METOO sexual politics with grace, dignity and just the right amount of sass,” according to the release.

The New York City native shared on social media that she was both excited and apprehensive to release her book.

“I’m so proud and happy that my memoir is available for pre-order at the link in my bio. ✨ ” She wrote, before continuing, “This book is my life story and reveals some of my most personal and private experiences that I’ve never shared before. Growing up in the spotlight, everyone thinks they know everything about me.”

“The truth is there’s so much more to my personal journey than meets the eye,” Hilton added. “While I’m nervous to be more vulnerable and open than ever before, I’m also excited to share the winding road that finally led me to healing, happiness and marrying the love of my life. I’m so proud of how I’ve evolved and overcome incredibly dark hardships, and I hope that sharing my story will inspire others to do the same. 💖 #ParisTheMemoir”

Hilton wrapped up 2022 with the release of an updated version of her 2006 hit “Stars Are Blind.” Originally released nearly two decades ago as the lead single from her debut studio album Paris (2006), the mega hit landed at No. #18 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts and is arguably the highlight of her musical career.

“This song has always meant so much to me, it felt right to close out 2022 with a refreshed version,” she wrote on Instagram about “Stars Are Blind (Paris’ Version).”

She continued, “Seeing my face lighting up Times Square is so special.👸🏼 Thank you to everyone who has always supported my music career. I literally have the best fans on the planet and have loved seeing all of your posts about the new song.”

The couple got engaged in February of 2021 and tied the knot later that year. Hilton told PEOPLE that they began IVF treatments during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. She recalled, “It’s always been my dream to be a mother and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy.”
