Morgan Wallen kicked off his highly anticipated I’m The Problem Tour at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas with two captivating shows on Friday (June 20) and Saturday (June 21) that featured brand-new production and set list.
The country superstar and 32-year-old East Tennessee native brought out some big names for his much-anticipated walkout moments during the first two nights of the tour in The Lonestar State. During night one, he enlisted former Houston Texans Hall of Famer Andre Johnson and beloved Houston businessman Mattress Mack. For night two, he was joined by world-renowned rapper Drake and former Houston Astros pitcher Roger Clemens. As Wallen and his guests made their way to the stage, “Broadway Girls” blared through the stadium speakers before transitioning into the “Interlude,” sending fans into a frenzy since many had begged Wallen to include the track in his set list ahead of the tour kickoff.

He erupted onto the massive stage after his walk out and an introductory video of him riding in a Number 7 race car that was emblazoned with each song title from I’m The Problem. Morgan Wallen kicked off the show with his high-energy, Platinum-certified hit, “Ain’t That Some,” which perfectly set the tone for the remainder of the show.
Wallen then greeted the near capacity crowd. “I appreciate that warm welcomed, before we get any further, my name is Morgan Wallen, and it’s a privilege to be here tonight. I appreciate you choosing to spend your night here with me and my team at NRG Stadium,” he said, greeting fans before admitting, “This is going to be a couple of walk outs that are hard to top for the rest of the year, so thank you, Houston, for showing out and having so many legendary people that come and support y’all here.”
Following his performance of “Kick Myself,” he introduced his most personal and meaningful song, “I Got Better.” As he sang, he made his way around the end of the MW-shaped catwalk, interacting with fans by pointing at them and grabbing their hands.

Wallen took fans on a journey through his entire career with an electrifying two-hour, 26-song set that included songs from all four of his studio albums: If I Know Me (2018), Dangerous: The Double Album (2021), One Thing At A Time (2023) and I’m The Problem (2025).
Typically, fans might be disappointed when an artist fills a set list with mostly new material — especially when the album has only been out for a few weeks. But that wasn’t the case for Morgan Wallen. His fans were thrilled that more than a dozen songs from his latest album, I’m The Problem, which has spent five weeks-and-counting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, made the cut.
The tens of thousands of fans in attendance sang along to every word as if the tracks were massive hits that have been out for years, proving just how deeply Wallen’s music resonates with his fan base and the strong connection they have to his songs. A significant portion of the show spotlighted songs from his latest project, where the tour takes its namesake, including “Kick Myself,” “I Got Better,” “Love Somebody,” “20 Cigarettes,” “Dark Til Daylight,” “Kiss Her In Front Of You,” “Don’t We,” “I’m A Little Crazy,” “Superman,” “TN,” “What I Want,” “I’m The Problem” and “Just In Case.”
Wallen was also sure to pay homage to his son, Indigo (“Indie”) Wilder Wallen, with a memorable performance of “Superman” during the show.
“I’ve been trying to write a song for my little boy pretty much since the day he was born and I wanted it to be a cool song. You know, I wanted him to be like 15 or 16 one day and listen back and say ‘dad, that sounds kind of tight,’ but I also wanted it to mean a lot,” he explained before performing the emotional track that serves as a letter to his four-year-old son. “So, it was a hard balance and I probably wrote 20-30 songs trying to find the right one and none of them hit me right. We we’re almost done with I’m The Problem album and we wrote this song literally a few days before I had to turn it in. And I was listening to the demo on the way back home on the day we wrote it and I found myself shedding tears while I was listening back to it, and that was the first time that a song for my little boy hit me like that so I figured maybe this is the one and I hope a lot of you parents can relate to it and hopefully a lot of you kids can understand where a parent is coming from as well.”
Indie wasn’t the only one he honored during the concert, he also paid tribute to the United States Military during “Don’t We,” as a massive American flag covered the stage while visuals of veterans saluting and a flyover were displayed.
Later in the show, Wallen made his way through the crowd to a b-stage at the back of the stadium, creating a more intimate setting, reminiscent of the earlier days of his career when he was playing in bars and clubs.
“We started out at bars in the afternoons, and we worked our way up to what it is now, and that still blows my mind a little bit. I thought about everything that it’s taken to get to this moment right here, and it wouldn’t be possible without you guys and your support – it means a lot to me, I know it means a lot to my team,” Wallen said while standing just a few feet from fans at the very back of the stadium on a b-stage. “One thing that I miss about playing those smaller places is I could go out on stage every night, and I could pretty much look at every single person in the eyes. That’s not possible now, but this is my best attempt at getting a little bit closer to you, so I want to sing a few songs back here, acoustic-style.”

On the b-stage, he delivered stripped-down performances of “Cover Me Up,” “I’m A Little Crazy,” and “Sand In My Boots.”
While venturing back to the main stage, Wallen introduced fans to his band, composed of Mark Taco Annino (Drums), Luke Cowboy Rice (Bass/Guitar), Tyler Tomlinson (Guitar/Vocals), Dominic Frost (Guitar/Vocals), Tony Aichele (Aux/Guitar/Pedal Steel) and Chris Gladden (Aux/Keys), by showcasing their names and hometowns while giving each of them a moment to shine on the big screens.
Morgan Wallen then returned to the main stage to perform his five-time Platinum hit “Up Down,” bringing out Koe Wetzel to join him for the fan-favorite tune.
A highlight of the show came during the final song of the evening (before the encore), when Wallen delivered a fiery performance of “I’m The Problem,” confronting the negative headlines from his rebellious and problematic past. At the song’s climax, he “burn[ed] the whole place down,” as the song’s lyrics say, by pouring gasoline on the stage from a gas can, then pulling a lighter from his pocket and tossing it onto the stage, setting the entire stage ablaze.
Wallen’s I’m The Problem Tour thrilled the Texas crowd with a breathtaking production that featured immersive 3D visuals, explosive pyrotechnics, vibrant lighting and lasers, fireworks, and a sprawling stage that extended close to the 50-yard line, complete with a distinctive MW-shaped catwalk.
Morgan Wallen commanded the massive stage with a big smile from start to finish, making a point to interact with fans and humbly thanking them multiple times throughout the evening for allowing him to live out his dreams each and every day. Wallen’s magnetic stage presence kept the massive audience completely engaged and mesmorized by his every move. Throughout his two-hour set, Wallen’s deep connection with his fans was undeniable, as he took every opportunity to engage with the crowd, from shaking hands and taking selfies to signing autographs, and acknowledging those wearing his merch.

As the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem Tour showcased exactly why he’s the biggest force in country music today, bringing an unstoppable energy, jaw-dropping visuals, and commanding the stage like the true superstar he is, with a production that redefines the live concert experience.
Koe Wetzel and Corey Kent served as support of the show.
