Miranda Lambert admitted that a new album is on the way and it’ll be here soon!
In a new interview with Taste Of Country Nights on Monday (July 12), Lambert chatted about her recent songwriting collaborations, including her write with Morgan Wallen, where they wrote “Thought You Should Know” together as well as her recent cut on Parker McCollum’s upcoming album and writes with Ashley McBryde in addition to recent writes with Caylee Hammack and Lainey Wilson.
“It’s really fun, too, to write with other artists, because it’s a whole different perspective,” Lambert told the outlet. “I just think it’s fun to step outside of your own head and your own, sort of box and get in the head of other artists.”
“When three songwriters hang out, usually songs happen, even if you’re not planning on it,” Lambert added.
In addition to writing songs with others, she also mentioned spending a lot of time in the studio as of recent days.
When the country media outlet asked about her new album, she admitted that one is on the way but you’ll have to “stay tuned” for a release date and additional details.
Additionally, the “Tequila Does” singer also revealed that her new album on the way is “not [that] far” away.
The yet-to-be announce project will follow her latest collaborative release with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall, The Marfa Tapes, as well as her seventh studio album, Wildcard, which spawned hits such as “Bluebird,” “It All Comes Out in the Wash” and her latest single “Settling Down.”
