Megan Moroney brought her Cloud 9 Tour to the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, on Friday, June 12, delivering a show-stopping performance packed with hit songs and angsty breakup anthems throughout a 24-song set that was elevated by a dreamy production.
The sold-out crowd transformed the arena into a sea of pink, sparkles, handmade Megan Moroney gear, and Cloud 9 Tour merchandise. In fact, it seemed as though nearly every fan in attendance could be seen wearing or carrying Cloud 9 Tour merch, a level of fan support rarely ever seen and one of the most impressive displays of artist loyalty I’ve ever witnessed at a concert.
Fans were buzzing with excitement as Moroney’s highly anticipated tour made a stop in Louisville, and the pop country superstar more than delivered. The energy inside the arena was palpable as fans eagerly awaited the Emo Cowgirl’s arrival, singing along to the pre-show playlist that included songs by Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber, as well as “The Best of Both Worlds” by Hannah Montana before the lights went out and the show intro dramatically welcomed Moroney to the stage.
Louisville marked the ninth stop on Moroney’s Cloud 9 Tour, and a thunderous ovation erupted throughout the arena as the singer/songwriter rose onto the stage.
“Kentucky, welcome to the Cloud 9 Tour y’all, it’s Friday funday!” Moroney said as she greeted the capacity crowd. “I just want to start off by saying thank you so much for being here tonight. This is the ninth show of my first arena tour and I’m still actively processing that, that this is real. So I just want to say thank you so much. Y’all have made all my dreams come true and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be up here tonight.”

She then went on to reflect on her journey in Louisville from playing the smallest of bars to headlining the KFC Yum Center Arena. “I was thinking about Louisville and I was like, ‘wait, I’m pretty sure I’ve been here and I’m pretty sure I’ve been to the Tin Roof here and I’ve done drunk karaoke before. I don’t think anywhere was there for that, but I had a good time. So I know tonight’s going to be so much fun.”
Moroney’s 23-song setlist was packed with chart-topping hits, fan favorites, and a heavy dose of material from her latest album, Cloud 9. Throughout the evening, she performed every track from the 15-track project, including “Medicine,” “Stupid,” “6 Months Later,” “Beautiful Things,” “Convincing,” “Liars & Tigers & Bears,” “Wedding Dress,” “Change Of Heart,” “Bells & Whistles,” “Table For Two,” “Wish I Didn’t,” “Who Hurt You?,” “Sorry… I Meant Tonight,” “Waiting On The Rain,” “Traitor (Roles Reversed),” the album’s title track “Cloud 9,” and “I Only Miss You.”
For “I Only Miss You,” Moroney invited direct support act JP Saxe back to the stage to perform the duet, which originally features Ed Sheeran on the album.
The 28-year-old Georgia native also revisited previous chapters of her career, performing songs from Am I Okay?, including the album’s title track and the viral anthem “No Caller ID.” She also delivered fan-favorite songs from her Lucky era, including “I’m Not Pretty,” her breakthrough smash hit “Tennessee Orange,” and the surprise song of the evening, “Lucky.” The surprise song segment has quickly become one of the most anticipated moments of the Cloud 9 Tour, and Louisville fans were treated to a special performance of “Lucky.”

Moroney first hinted at the surprise song during her performance of “Bells & Whistles” when she grabbed her signature green dress from the Lucky era, prompting near-deafening screams throughout the arena. As the song came to a close, she picked up her now-famous pink mirror, which features a different message at every show. This time, the mirror read, “KENTUCKY, U FEELING LUCKY?” sending fans into another frenzy. On the Cloud 9 Tour, Moroney keeps fans guessing by choosing a random song from her catalog of her choice, selecting a different surprise song for that spot in the setlist at each show.
The elaborate stage production perfectly complemented the tour’s dreamy aesthetic. The set design featured a flower-filled white picket fence, a grand staircase, three oversized arches in front of a massive video screen that brought each song to life through stunning 3D visuals, and a sprawling catwalk shaped like the number nine, with nine clouds hanging overhead to immerse fans in the Cloud 9 world. Moroney didn’t have a b-stage, but she did have the iconic flower-filled window from the back of her Cloud 9 album artwork as a floating prop in the back that she sat on to perform a trio of songs. While floating high above the sold-out crowd, Moroney performed “Lucky,” “Tennessee Orange” and “Beautiful Things.”
Throughout the night, Moroney humbly addressed the crowd and graciously thanked fans for their endless support over the last four years, which have taken her from singing on her apartment floor in Nashville to playing sold out arenas.
“I’m so grateful that I get to do this for a living and I know that I get to do it for a living because I show up for me. So thank you so much…but I’m just so grateful to now be up in a window and have an arena full of people who love my songs and I don’t know, I just feel so grateful,” Moroney stated with a smile. “If you can’t tell I’m not totally used to this yet, it’s kind of weird for me. I’m like wow, this many people showed up, it still blows my mind. So I am just so appreciative and thank you for everything, truly.”

Moroney, who has truly come into her own as a live entertainer, effortlessly belted out the lyrics to her songs while confidently commanding the stage with an undeniable star power that captivated the sold-out crowd from start to finish. The show-stopping performance further proved she is more than worthy of the Entertainer of the Year nomination she received earlier this year at the 2026 ACM Awards.
Spanning 49 dates, the global Cloud 9 Tour will see the Megan Moroney headline major arenas throughout North America, Europe, and the UK, with stops at New York City’s Barclays Center, Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, Chicago’s United Center, and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
The extensive trek comes in support of Moroney’s third studio album, Cloud 9, produced by Kristian Bush of Sugarland. With Cloud 9, Megan Moroney said goodbye to the blue era that was her sophomore album, Am I Okay?, and welcomed her new pink color theme for the project she describes as “written by the strongest, most confident version of myself I’ve ever been.” Cloud 9 arrived on February 20 via Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records and features 15 tracks, including the previously released “Wish I Didn’t,” “6 Months Later,” “Beautiful Things,” “Wedding Dress,” “Who Hurt You?” and more. Cloud 9 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 all-genre albums chart.
