Ella Langley added a new four-legged member to the family with the adoption of a puppy named Joan.
The country superstar has adopted a puppy named Joan from Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee, Florida, the same shelter where Miranda Lambert previously adopted her dog Bellamy in 2013. Langley’s adoption came after an emotional visit to the Florida shelter, where she spent time with over 130 beagles rescued from a Wisconsin biomedical research lab a few months ago.
Ahead of her headlining performance at Alan Jackson’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere Fest in West Palm Beach, the 27-year-old Alabama native stopped by Big Dog Ranch Rescue to visit beagles the shelter had saved from medical testing. Many of the dogs are now receiving care and rehabilitation at the Florida facility following their removal from the laboratory environment. While onsite and spending time with the pups, Langley formed an immediate bond with one dog named Joan. The “Choosin’ Texas” singer ultimately made the decision to give the puppy a forever home.
Langley documented her visit and shared a clip on TikTok, which she captioned, “spent a little time at Big Dog Ranch Rescue yesterday. 🤍” The clip shows Langley spending time playing with the rescued beagles and learning about their rehabilitation as well as the moment she knew that Joan was going home with her for a second chance at life.
Ella Langley is now a proud dog mom to three pups: a Boykin Spaniel named Crue, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever named Bee, and her newest rescue, Joan.
Pawsitive Rescue Division is a foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue operating throughout Tennessee and Connecticut. Founded by President Lauren Misunas and country artist Ella Langley, who serves as Director of Fundraising, the organization focuses on canine rehabilitation, training, and personalized adoption placements, working to ensure a streamlined path for each pup from rescue to their “fur-ever” home.
Langley became involved with Pawsitive Rescue Division after meeting Misunas and initially helping promote rescues through videos that led to multiple adoptions, later joining the organization as a founding board member and continuing to support fundraising and adoption efforts.

The nonprofit is also partnered with Big Dog Ranch Rescue, the largest cage-free, no-kill dog rescue in the United States, dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs in need.
In partnership with Big Dog Ranch Rescue and Pawsitive Rescue Division, Ella Langley is raising funds for the Ridgelan Farm Beagles medical needs. The beagles are being cared for at Southern Vet by veterinarian Dr. Gomez. If you are interested in donating, see below:
