Megan Moroney stopped her UK concert at the O2 Institute Birmingham to address issues in the crowd and have one fan removed from the show on Tuesday, September 10. Several issues took place during her headlining performance in Birmingham, including a fan passing out and an unruly fan throwing a hat at her.

Megan Moroney Stopped Birmingham Concert To Address Crowd Medical Issue

The fast-rising country star and “Am I Okay?” singer halted her concert and called on security to help a female fan who reportedly passed out during her set, according to fans on TikTok that attended the show.

“Can we get security over here? Clear a path please…,” Moroney said as she backed away from her microphone, later adding, “We’re gonna stop the show until I get thumbs up, take your time.” According to a fan on TikTok, security allegedly called medics to assist a woman who had “passed out” in the audience. The fan wrote, “the woman behind us passed out in the middle of the crowd it was hard to get their attention from where we were so she stopped the show, thank god she did.” Medical staff assisted the fan, and Moroney then returned to the microphone and continued on with the show.

Unruly Fan Throws Hat At The Singer During “28th Of June” Performance

The show resumed, but during her performance of “28th of June,” while seated on the steps that were situated in the center of the stage, a rowdy fan threw a baseball hat at her, causing her to flinch and get very upset. She didn’t make any comments about the situation during the show, but she was visibly annoyed with the incident.

A song later, during her performance of “Hope You’re Happy,” the fan who tossed the hat at her was ejected from the concert. The unruly fan continued to be obnoxious in the audience as he was being removed from the show, so Moroney flipped him off.

Megan Moroney Speaks Out To Address the Situation

After the show, Moroney took to the comment of the TikTok clips shared by @Big1Country and broke her silence on the situation and clarified what happened that evening in Birmingham.

“Weird way to title this vid & not include context. A guy threw a hat at me & it scared the hell out of me. I gave a finger when he was getting kicked out & continued to be obnoxious. Hope this helps!” Moroney said, speaking out on the situation.

Moroney’s drummer also addressed the incident on X, formerly known as Twitter, writing, “We come to your cities, we’re away from our families and regular lives to make your night exciting,” he wrote. “Please do us the simple courtesy of not throwing stuff at us.”
