Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Barker and Blackbear performed a medley of songs from MGK’s upcoming Tickets To My Downfall album on Sunday (Aug. 30) from the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) pre-show stage.

The performance kicked off with “My Ex’s Best Friend” with his band and Blackbear from a rooftop in New York City before exploding into the infectious track “Bloody Valentine” with Travis Barker from beneath a billboard.

The medley of tracks performed are from Machine Gun Kelly’s upcoming pop-punk album, Tickets To My Downfall.

The “Bloody Valentine” singer took home his first-ever MTV Video Music Award earlier in the evening for Best Alternative.

The rapper unveiled a visually stunning, action-packed music video for the song on Wednesday (Aug. 26). The video features MGK in playing his signature pink guitar on top of an overturned car and blackbear played the part of a tow truck driver while also singing along to the track. The star-studded trio was among several other incredible pre-show performances including Chloe x Halle, Jack Harlow, Lewis Capaldi and Tate McRae.

Hosted by Keke Palmer, The 2020 MTV VMAs air on Sunday, August 30th at 8PM ET/PT will broadcast across 11 ViacomCBS brands including BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nick at Nite, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land and VH1, as well as The CW, making it available to an expanded broadcast audience for the first time.
