Machine Gun Kelly is giving fans another taste of of his highly-anticipated pop-punk album, Tickets To My Downfall, with the release of “My Ex’s Best Friend” featuring Blackbear on Friday (August 7).

The song starts with both MGK and Blackbear singing:

“Ayy
You know my ex, so that makes it all feel complicated, yeah
(It all seems complicated)
I read those texts that you sent to yours, but I’ll never say it, yeah
(I’ll never say—)”

Before Machine Gun Kelly sings the chorus:

I swear to God, I never fall in love
Then you showed up and I can’t get enough of it
I swear to God, I never fall in love
I never fall in love, but I can’t get enough of it

The rapper originally unveiled that he was releasing two songs earlier this week (August 4) just ahead of the release of his energetic anthem “Concert For Aliens” before teasing fans with the fact that a collaboration is coming with Blackbear.

“My Ex’s Best Friend” follows “Concerts For Aliens” and his infectious single “Bloody Valentine” and is off his much-anticipated fifth studio album, Tickets To My Downfall. The release date for the album has not yet been revealed.

Blackbear recently released “I Feel Bad,” “I Feel 2 Much,” “I Felt That” and “Queen Of Broken Hearts” and will appear on his forthcoming album, everything means nothing, which is set for release on August 21.
