In a matter of months, Luke Combs’ life at home is going to look a whole lot different. The 33-year-old country music superstar is gearing up to welcome his second child, a baby boy with his wife, Nicole Combs.

The happily married couple is already parents to a little boy named Tex Lawrence, who was born on Father’s Day 2022. Now that they’re expecting baby number two, Combs is bracing himself for what lies ahead.

“Two under two is gonna be interesting,” Combs told Entertainment Tonight while appearing on the red carpet ahead of the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards.

“Excited” For Their Second Child

Despite that, he seems confident about bringing the sweet addition into his world, saying, “We got it, though. I’m excited.”

With Tex in the mix, Combs admits that he’s already unable to think about any difficulties that may arise when it comes to having a packed household. Not to mention he’s been on the road as part of his massive 2023 World Tour. So he’s been keeping a whatever happens, happens mentality as he awaits the birth of his second son.

“We’re just raising the first one, right? And then, one day, it’ll be two of ’em, right?” He joked. “It’s not much time to worry about anything when you’ve got a 10-month-old at home.”

Luckily, Combs has found a way to juggle his personal life and his professional life so that he can have plenty of time with his brood.

“I get to spend a lot of time at home, ya know?” he shared in a previous interview with Cody Alan on CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown. “We’re on tour, and right now we’re doing stadiums, which for the most part are one night a week. I’m probably home five days a week.”

No Help From A Nanny

And that’s a good thing as Combs has shared that he and Nicole don’t have a nanny around to help with parenting tasks. However, with recording sessions and interviews in place much of the baby-related duties fall on Nicole.

“We don’t have any help at home (with the baby), so it’s just me and her (Nicole) raising the little man,” he told WKML.com. “So shout out to her for really bearing the brunt of that. It’s just been amazing, you know, being parents; it’s just so great.”

“It’s Going To Be Very Hectic”

Even though he is excited about being a father to two boys, Combs isn’t afraid to admit that on first reaction, he felt a bit of pressure with everything moving fast and the responsibilities adding up.

“It’s going to be very hectic. I mean, is anybody ever ready for this? I don’t know [and] I thought I was ready for the first one, and I feel like now I’m good, and right when it was good, it was like, ‘Guess what? We’re having another one. I was like, ‘Oh man, I felt like we just got comfortable with this one.’”

Regardless, the thought of having more children has him over the moon.

“I’m stoked. It’s been so fun being a Dad. It’s so awesome,” Luke Combs expressed.

Expecting Second Child In September of 2023

In March, Combs took to social media to announce he and his wife were expecting another child.

“Joining the 2 under 2 club! Baby boy #2, coming this September!! #lukecombs,” he captioned alongside a snapshot that shows him with Nicole and son Tex.

Additionally, Luke Combs launched his world tour on Saturday (March 25) — one day after the release of his latest album, Gettin’ Old, which is the companion project to 2022’s Growin’ Up. The tour, which features supporting acts Riley Green, Lainey Wilson, Flatland Cavalry, Brent Cobb, Cody Johnson, and Lane Pittman, wraps up on Oct. 19 at the O2 Arena in London.
