Luke Combs kicked off Saturday (04/24) night’s Grand Ole Opry performance with his latest single “Forever After All,” a song he penned inspired by his wife Nicole.

Following his performance of “Forever After All” and “When It Rains It Pours,” the country superstar live debuted an unreleased track entitled “Joe.”

“I figured I would do a brand new song for you guys tonight. My buddy Eric Dillon showed up at my house the other day and he played me a song awhile ago that he had started with a guy named James Slater and I just thought it was real awesome and we finished it together and I guess the title of this song is called ‘Joe,’” Combs explained to the Opry crowd. “So just hear me out and tell me what you think of this.”

Penned by Combs alongside Eric Dillon and James Slater, the song finds Combs singing, “made a couple wrong turns / did county time / I do every thing I can to stay between the lines / got a couple good buddies that all drop in / say it’s good to see ya brother man, how you been / I can’t complain i’m doing alright / sleeping pretty good, staying dry / I thank the Lord every morning with a sweet amen for how far I come from, where I’ve been / so here’s to good days and better tomorrows / and a light at the end of the bottle.”

The singer also performed his several of his hit singles including “Beautiful Crazy,” “Even Though I’m Leaving” and “Hurricane.”

Additionally, Combs recently gave fans an update on album 3 as well as revealed that his “Forever After All” music video will be released this week with footage from he and Nicole’s wedding!
