Luke Combs penned a heartfelt message to his wife Nicole Hocking Combs in celebration of her 30th Birthday.
The country superstar shared a birthday message to his wife, the woman who inspired several of his chart-topping songs, including “Beautiful Crazy,” “Better Together,” “Forever After All” and more.
“Happy Birthday @nicolejcombs!!! Welcome to the dirty 30 club,” Combs began.
He went on to praise his wife.
“You have amazed me more times than I thought was humanly possible,” Combs gushed. ”Watching you become a mother, your positive outlook on life, your love for others, your honesty, your fierce loyalty, and 1000 other traits that make you so perfect. I love you so much and I’m so thankful for you Every. Single. Day. And I can’t wait to spend at least 100 more years with you and the beautiful life you’ve given our little family.”
Combs and his wife Nicole recently welcomed their first child, Tex Lawrence, on June 19. Tex weighed 7lb, 6 oz at birth.
“Welp he decided that Father’s Day would be a good time to show up. I couldn’t agree more. Me and @nicolejcombs are over the moon in love with this little guy,” he wrote alongside their first family photo in the baby’s nursery. “Mama and baby are healthy and we’re back home now with family. Life is good. Everyone welcome Tex Lawrence Combs to the world!”
During a recent Q&A, Nicole revealed the reason why they chose to name their son Tex Lawrence.
“Tex is Luke’s great uncle’s name, and Lawrence is her father’s name,” she explained to fans in the Instagram Q&A. Nicole previously shared that Tex’s name was a “family name but also pretty unique.”
Just a few weeks prior to welcoming Tex, Combs sat down with Country Countdown USA‘s Lon Helton and discussed if he will be bringing his baby boy on the road with him anytime soon.
“I think you need at least a year before the road thing,” Combs told Helton. “We don’t even take our dog on the road because we feel it affects his quality of life. We want to be sure we have this parenting thing down before we take it on the road. I don’t want [my wife] Nicole to feel trapped on the bus with the baby. We’re going to give it some time,” he explained.
Combs and Nicole began dating in 2016 after meeting at the 2016 Key West Songwriter’s Festival. After the festival, the Hocking and Combs started spending more time together and eventually began dating. In 2018, Combs planned an elaborate proposal that ended up going south after a hectic day of moving. Weeks later, Combs and Hocking revealed their engagement with fans via Instagram.
Combs and Nicole tied the knot on August 1 during an intimate beach ceremony in Florida. And despite the threat of Hurricane Isaias, the couple married at their home in Southern Florida, surrounded by family.
Luke Combs’ recently released his new album, Growin’ Up, which debuted at No. 1. The 12-track project features the chart-topping hit, “Doin’ This,” Combs’ current single, “The Kind Of Love We Make,” and “Outrunnin’ Your Memory,” a duet with Miranda Lambert, among several tracks.
