Luke Bryan shared a sweet moment with his wife, Caroline Boyer Bryan, in honor of her birthday on New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas. The country superstar is currently wrapping up his stint of shows at Resorts World Theatre in Sin City, with his final shows taking place on January 3, 5, and 6.
Luke Bryan Celebrates Wife Caroline’s Birthday With Romantic On Stage Serenade
In the midst of his headlining set on Sunday evening (Dec. 31), the 47-year-old American Idol judge brought his wife of 17 years on stage for a heartwarming birthday tribute, where he serenaded her with a cover of Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline.” As Caroline made her way onto the stage, Luke’s band began playing the tune. Upon Caroline’s entrance onto the stage, Luke Bryan wrapped his arm around his wife and held her hand as he danced along to the iconic tune with her.
“Sweet Caroline/ Good times never seemed so good/ I’ve been inclined/ To believe they never would/ But now I…” Luke sang as he gazed into his wife’s eyes, and the crowd erupted into a massive sing-along. The beloved country couple were all smiles as they flirtatiously danced together for the remainder of the song. As the song came to a close, Luke Bryan gave his wife what appeared to be tequila with a lime, which she chugged, much to Luke’s surprise.
“Happy New Year and Happy Birthday to my wife,” Luke said as he concluded his performance, and the couple shared a kiss as the sold-out crowd cheered them on.
The country hitmaker from Georgia often includes the Neil Diamond classic within his shows if his wife is in attendance, most notably at his annual Crash My Playa festival, serving as an ode to his beloved wife.
“I Love You To The Moon And Back”
In addition to honoring his wife’s birthday during his live performance in Vegas, Luke Bryan also penned a message to his wife on social media.
“Happy Birthday @linabryan3. I love you too the moon and back. Thank god yo butt was born,” he captioned a photo that feature him and his wife all smiles in front of a fireworks display.

The couple recently celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary with heartfelt messages to each other on social media.
“Happy 17 years together love. I love you @linabryan3,” Luke wrote alongside his first-ever Instagram Reel, which featured a slideshow of images from throughout their relationship to the tune of Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes’ “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life,” a tune from the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack.
Caroline also commemorated their anniversary with a social media post, writing “Happy 17th anniversary!!!! Pretty impressive how we’ve managed to tolerate each other for so long!!! I love you! ❤️ @lukebryan.” Her post also included a slideshow of images from their loving relationship, set to the tune of Huey Lewis & The News’ “Stuck With You.”
How Did Luke Bryan Meet His Wife Caroline?
Luke and Caroline Bryan are one of country music’s favorite couples. The pair met back in 1998 during college at a bar called Dingus Magee’s in Statesboro, Georgia. During that period, both Luke and Caroline were enrolled as students at Georgia Southern University. The road to their lasting marriage was rocky at times, but their love for each other remains strong.
“We’d date a little in college, and then we’d break up. And then I would be devastated. We’d get back together, break up. Then she would be devastated,” Bryan explained during an interview with PEOPLE. “We finally decided we were not going to break up anymore. And then I graduate college, and she has two more years, and then we break up again. It was like the Dark Ages for both of us.”
Bryan, who met his wife Caroline back in their college bar days, explained how their post-graduate breakup turned out to be a blessing. “We were apart for 5½ years, which was kind of a blessing because I went off to Nashville, got all this going,” he continued. “She finished college. She went and actually had a career.”
The couple later tied the knot in Turks and Caicos on December 8, 2006. Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline share two children, Thomas Boyer (“Bo”) Bryan and Tatum (“Tate”) Christopher Bryan, and also raise Bryan’s two nieces (Jordan and Kris) and nephew (Til), who they adopted following family tragedies.
