“I just love Morgan Wallen [and] I love his music, I love his voice. Bryan added, “Morgan was out on the road with me right when ‘Up Down’ was a hit and I watched him and I just said, ‘there’s something about that crazy guy,’ and that’s what it’s all about.”
Morgan Wallen has also applauded Luke Bryan for always being someone he can count on for advice.

Luke Bryan Is A “Big Fan” Of Morgan Wallen
Recently, Luke Bryan proved he is a “big fan” of Wallen during the 2023 CMA Awards rehearsals at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. As Wallen rehearsed for his Joe Diffie tribute performance with HARDY and Post Malone, Luke Bryan danced and cheered him on from the audience, which he shared on Instagram.
Not only is Luke Bryan a fan of Wallen, but so is his mother, LeClaire Bryan. In May of 2023, LeClaire took to social media and gave fans a sneak peek into the ideal summer day that consisted of warm weather, fishing and listening to Wallen’s “Country A$$ Shit.”
Luke Bryan Was The First To Take Wallen On A Big Tour
Bryan and Wallen have a longstanding friendship. In fact, the Georgia native was the first artist to take Wallen on a big tour. “I was the first one, I think, to put him in a stadium environment [and] I think the years that I had Morgan out… I was doing like 12 or 13 stadiums that year,” Bryan previously shared on the Full Send Podcast, referencing his 2018 stadium trek, dubbed the What Makes You Country Tour. “The second I heard his first single ‘Up Down,’ I said ‘I knew something was up. I knew wherever he was coming from to write that, cause I was like, ‘God damn.’”
He added, “If I had heard that song, first listen, I would’ve went right to the studio and recorded it and just friggin’ loved it. And so when I heard ‘Up Down,’ I was like, ‘get him out [on tour with us].’”

Luke Bryan And Morgan Wallen Have Performed Together
The pair of country superstars have also shared the stage together several times through the years. On July 30, 2021, Bryan brought the party to Nashville with a sold-out concert at Bridgestone Area that included three special guests – Tyler Hubbard, Jason Aldean and Morgan Wallen. After Wallen performed his chart-topping hits, “More Than My Hometown” and “Whiskey Glasses,” all four artists joined forces for an unforgettable performance of Aldean’s “She’s Country.”
Following the electrifying show, Luke Bryan sat down with Storme Warren on SiriusXM’s The Highway to speak about asking Wallen to join him. “An hour before the show, Morgan Wallen texted my manager, and he’s like ‘hey, I’ve got my kid, but I’m not going to have my kid in a min, we’re doing the kid swap,’” he told Warren. “And my manager goes, ‘well, come by.’ But then I was like, ‘well, do you want to get up there [on stage]? Morgan came out, and then people went wild, and it was really special to be on the stage, and it was really, really loose and fun,” he added. “I think I had to pay a nice venue fee because II went over the allotted time.”
In 2021, Wallen also performed and participated in the Inaugural Brett Boyer Foundation Invitational, an event put on by the Bright For Brett Foundation, a foundation that Luke Bryan’s wife Caroline advocates for as a board member. At the event, he performed a several song set as well as golfed alongside Luke Bryan and his wife, Caroline, among others.
