Luke Bryan will put his signature touch on the wedding gift he gives Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.
During a recent interview with PEOPLE, the “Waves” singer revealed that he will be giving Stefani and his longtime friend Shelton an “embarrassing” wedding gift.
Although it’s unclear if the couple invited Bryan to their wedding, he told the outlet he was not in attendance. He continued to share that he didn’t even know the couple tied the knot, that is until the newlyweds shared the news on social media.
“I did not know it was happening,” Bryan admitted to the outlet, before sharing that he “found out with the rest of the world.”
While he hasn’t purchased their wedding gift yet, he shared that he has started thinking about what to get the country superstar and No Doubt singer. He did however say that the gift will be a big box of embarrassing things, putting his signature touch on it.
“But … I have started my mental wedding gift soirée,” Bryan said. “I’m going to get a big box and there will be embarrassing items in there.” Later adding, “They’ll be funny, sarcastic items so Blake and Gwen can expect my wedding gift with the Luke Bryan touch on it.”
After six years together, country superstar, Shelton, 45, and No Doubt singer, Stefani, 51, exchanged vows during an intimate ceremony in front of their closest family and friends. The elegant ceremony took place inside a chapel on Shelton’s ranch, built exclusively for the superstar couple to say their “I Do’s.”
Stefani recently gushed about the special day, saying that it was “literally the greatest moment… one of the greatest moments of my life, obviously.”
“It was beyond what I thought it was gonna be,” the bride added of the Carson Daly-officiated wedding. “It was beyond dreamy. But I think the crazy part was it was just so unexpected in my life.”
Shelton and Stefani recently made their first public performances since their wedding, including a live performance at Ole Red Tishomingo for what Shelton called “tour rehearsals,” where the couple performed their duets as well as some No Doubt classics.
Then their official performance debut as a married couple was during Country Thunder in Wisconsin, where they celebrated their two week wedding anniversary. During their performance at the festival, the perfect pairing performed their duets and some No Doubt hits together for a sold out crowd.
