Machine Gun Kelly has officially released his much-anticipated new pop-punk album, Tickets To My Downfall, on Friday (Sept. 25).
“I just want to go against what everyone else thinks,” MGK said on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show ahead of the album’s release. “I make a pop-punk record … and everyone’s like, ‘You switched genres!’ To me, I just added on to the multiple things I’ve already done anyway, but, sure, what a narrow-minded way to look at things.”
Tickets To My Downfall is the follow-up his 2019 album, Hotel Diablo, which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The rapper is scheduled to perform a pair of shows next week including on Oct. 1 and Oct. 8, which will be broadcasting from the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, California. The Oct. 1 concert will feature MGK performing Tickets to My Downfall in full and the Oct. 8 virtual concert will be of 2019’s Hotel Diablo. Tickets for both shows just went on sale at midnight at mgk.nocapshows.com.
