Levi Hummon and Cassadee Pope have joined forces for their new release, “RSVP,” out now!

The sobering track follows the two singers as they reminisce and overthink a rejected party invite. Sang from different perspectives, “RSVP” embraces the different emotions and ways to move on following a devastating breakup.

“Champagne’s all gone/ Carpets full of confetti/ The cops came and we rocked on/ I was the life of the party, but I don’t feel that cool/ Everyone showed up but you,” sings Hummon, as Pope responds in her verse, “I saw the invite but I was too scared to see you slow dancing, your hands moving onto somebody who’s taller and blonder than me/ I kinda regret it/ Not stopping by/ But I didn’t know if you’d want me to walk in and mess up the time of your life.”

Penned by Hummon, Pope and Eric Aries, the single beautifully marries the scene of a raging party decked out with confetti and Solo cups with the sense of sadness that can be all encompassing when pondering what could have been.

“I have been a fan of Cassadee since her ‘Hey Monday’ days. I had our write circled in my calendar for months, and even though we had a few reschedules, the day the writing session took place with my producer, I knew I wanted to write a duet,” said Levi. “It’s not often that you come out of a room having accomplished the exact goal of the write, but we did, and both Cassadee and I knew how special the song was.”

He continued, “I can honestly say this is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of, and I cannot wait for the world to hear it. So much of my music is about good times and parties, and so it means a lot to put out a song that’s about when the party’s over so to speak, and things aren’t quite what you hoped they would be. I know we can both relate to that in our lives.”

The official music video for “RSVP” premiered Friday, October 28. Starring Levi and Cassadee, the video gets up close and personal with the country singers, elevating the stripped-down single and honest lyrics.

“I’m so proud of the song Levi, Eric and I were able to create. It was important to us to really illustrate that ‘will they, won’t they’ scenario that so many of us have gone through,” shared Cassadee. “We kept Ross and Rachel in our minds the whole process and I think we captured that visual!”

With fan favorites including “Wedding Dress,” “Stupid” and “Paying For It,” Hummon’s hit duet with Walker Hayes, the rising country star is on the road to success.

Pope wrapped up her THRIVE Tour 2022 earlier this year after hitting major cities including Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia and Chicago. Fans can catch the Grammy nominated singer-songwriter performing during the four-night Emo’s Not Dead Cruise kicking off on Tuesday, November 8 in Los Angeles, CA, as well as in Nashville, TN on November 26 for Emo Night at Marathon Music Works.
