After teaming up on the infectious hit “Broadway Girls,” Lil Durk reunited with Morgan Wallen for another collaboration that is bound to be just as successful as the first.
Released on Friday (May 26), the duet is titled “Stand By Me,” and it’s an uplifting summer-ready track that finds both artists asking a significant other if they can lean on that person throughout the tough times.
Backed by a simple rap beat, the country superstar and Grammy-nominated, Chicago-based rapper prove yet again why their combination works, with Durk signing Wallen to take a similar approach at tackling the chorus as he did with the pair’s first country-trap tune.
“If tomorrow I lost it all / And everything that I have was gone / When there’s nobody else to call / Would you stand by me, would you stand by me? / When the world tries to keep me down (When the world tryna keep me down) / And there’s nobody else around (And there’s nobody else around) / Keep it real, can you tell me now? (Tell me now) / Would you stand by me, would you stand by me? (Oh yeah),” Wallen sings throughout the chorus while Durk takes the lead utilizing his effortless rap skills in the first and second verses.

Previously Joined Forces For “Broadway Girls”
“Stand By Me” comes after the friends found immediate success in 2022 with the release of “Broadway Girls,” which appears as the second single from Durk’s seventh studio album, 7220.
The previous release, which involved a slew of songwriters, including Durk Banks (Lil Durk), Wallen, Alexander Izquierdo, Ernest Keith Smith (ERNEST), Grady Block, Rocky Block, Ryan Vojtesak and Joe Reeves, reached the top spot on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and the Top 20 on the Hot 100 chart, respectively.
“Stand By Me” Appears On Lil Durk’s New Album, Almost Healed
Fans can find “Stand By Me” on Durk’s just released new album, Almost Healed. The 21-track collection also features collaborations with J. Cole, Alicia Keys, Future, and Kodak Black. The project’s first single, “All My Life” featuring J. Cole. has already climbed to the top position on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
Opening up about the meaning of his album’s Almost Healed title in an Instagram post, Durk writes: “As the voice, I’m speaking for us all and what we go through that everyone may not realize. Many young men like myself have faced some sort of trauma in their lives. This album is a representation of what transpires through difficult situations and the processes we go through while healing.”
Wallen, meanwhile, released his highly ambitious 36-track studio album, One Thing At A Time, album in March. The “You Proof” singer, 30, also launched a massive tour to coincide with the project. Aptly named One Night At A Time, the trek kicked off overseas on March 15 and features artists HARDY, ERNEST, Bailey Zimmerman, and Parker McCollum as support on select dates.
However, Wallen was recently forced to bow out for six weeks of his stadium tour, citing a vocal injury. He has since rescheduled those tour dates and will resume time on the road this summer with a first stop at Wrigley Field in Chicago on June 22, according to his official website.
Meanwhile, Wallen’s current single, “Last Night,” is sitting at No. 1 on the country charts.
