Lainey Wilson Surprised HARDY With Custom End Of Tour Gift

Wilson shared the moment with fans in a TikTok video, posting a clip that began with her showing HARDY a guitar case. “Is it full of cash?” HARDY joked. Wilson responded in the negative and reminded HARDY of the time he texted her around eight months ago and mentioned a specific guitar. As she began to open the case, HARDY exclaimed, “No f—ing way, dude!”

“You ain’t seen nothing,” Wilson added as HARDY continued, “Bro, I’ve been thinking about that for like, ever, and I just didn’t want to say anything. No f—ing way, dude. This is awesome.” Pulling out the guitar, Wilson revealed that it had a mockingbird and a crow etched onto the top, as well as HARDY’s name. “Oh my God, dude!” he exclaimed. “Give me a hug. This is gonna make me cry dude.”

HARDY Also Had A Gift For Lainey Wilson

HARDY also got a gift for his friend, showing her an envelope and saying, “Here’s yours,” prompting Wilson to emotionally exclaim, “Dude!” and give HARDY a hug in thanks. “You’re so welcome,” he told her. The video then cut to a few moments later as HARDY explained, “We’re gonna put her up at Blackberry Farm for a few days.” Blackberry Farm is a luxury hotel and resort in Walland, Tennessee.

The two also took a moment to look back on what they’ve accomplished together, as HARDY noted, “End of an era, dude. No more ‘wait in the truck’ s—. No more touring together. Let’s go.”

“The End Of An Era”

Wilson also reflected on the tour in multiple Instagram posts, starting with a slideshow that included two photos of the artists performing together and the video of herself presenting HARDY with his new guitar. Wilson captioned the post, “@hardy we will talk about this tour the rest of our lives. Loved burning up with the road with you, friend.”

She also shared a video montage of her performances during the trek, writing, “The end of an era. This tour brought together rednecks and head bangers, and it was the coolest thing to watch every single night.”

The mockingbird & THE CROW Tour began in February, running its first leg through April with support from Jameson Rodgers and Blame My Youth. HARDY later extended the trek, the second leg beginning in August, with support from Wilson and Dylan Marlowe. The new leg marked HARDY’s first headlining arena run and included notable stops at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium, Orange Beach, Alabama’s The Wharf, Biloxi’s Mississippi Coast Coliseum and more.

During the tour’s Knoxville, Tennessee stop, HARDY and Wilson were surprised with plaques to commemorate their duet, “wait in the truck,” achieving Platinum status following its trip to No. 1 at country radio earlier this year. The song was originally released in August 2022 and won multiple awards including the ACM Awards for Music Event of the Year and Visual Media of the Year and the CMA Awards for Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year.
