Kelly Clarkson returned to NBC’s The Voice for a special performance during the Season 22 finale on Tuesday evening (Dec. 13).

Clarkson, who will return as a coach on Season 23 of The Voice, performed a solo version of “Santa, Can’t You Hear Me,” a duet that originally features Clarkson and Ariana Grande.

The Kelly Clarkson Show host donned an elegant blue gown for her soaring performance of her original Christmas tune.

“I don’t need a thing / I sent a letter to you, ooh, ooh On how to make my dreams come true, yeah, yeah / What I want for Christmas / Hasn’t come and I’ve been so blue / Tell me what can I do? Ooh, ooh, oh yeah / Keep the mistletoe (keep the mistletoe) / Unless below, is what I need (what I need) / Santa, can’t you hear me?” Clarkson sang on the tune’s chorus.

“Santa, Can’t You Hear Me” appears on Clarkson’s latest holiday album, When Christmas Comes Around… The album features 15-tracks, including duets with Grande, Brett Eldredge and Chris Stapleton. The album also features original songs such as  “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You),” “Glow” and “Santa, Can You Hear Me” and more.

In addition to original songs, When Christmas Comes Around… also includes covers of classic holiday hits like “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas,” “Santa Baby,” “Last Christmas,” amongst several others. The holiday album marks Clarkson’s ninth studio album overall and her second holiday project since the release of 2013’s Wrapped In Red and her first new album since 2017’s Meaning Of Life.

Clarkson has shared several other holiday songs since releasing her holiday album in 2013, including her duet with Brett Eldredge, “Under The Mistletoe,” which also appears on the deluxe edition of Clarkson’s When Christmas Comes Around…

The season 22 finale of NBC’s The Voice aired on Tuesday evening (Dec. 13) at 9/8c on NBC and will air again tomorrow (Dec. 14) on Peacock.

The two-hour finale also featured performances from Kelly Clarkson, Maluma, OneRepublic, Adam Lambert, BRELAND and the season 21 winner of The Voice, Girl Named Tom.

The Voice coaches—Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello and John Legend—also took to the stage alongside The Voice finalists—Omar Jose Cardona, Brayden Lape, Bryce Leatherwood, Morgan Myles, and bodie.

In addition to performing alongside Team Blake finalists, Shelton also joined Kane Brown to deliver the live debut of their brand-new duet, “Different Man.”
