Earlier this month, Priscilla Block shared how much Kelly Clarkson has inspired her to pursue her music career and how she’s been a big fan of hers and has always wanted to meet her one day. Well, Block fulfilled that dream on Thursday (Feb. 17) as she officially met Clarkson during an appearance on the “Since U Been Gone” singer’s Emmy-award winning, daytime talk show.

Block recently appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show to chat about her debut album, Welcome To The Block Party, as well as to perform her latest single, “My Bar.”

Prior to her performance, she chatted with Clarkson about her new project and how Block nearly quit music until an encounter with Taylor Swift changed her mind and she quit her job to pursue her musical career full time.

While chatting with Block, Clarkson praised Block.

“You’re like one of the new artists… I literally was listening and true story I was like ‘who is this?’ and I started looking you up on Spotify. I love your vibe… your songs… your voice. I love everything about you,” Clarkson gushed.

After chatting with Block about “Thick Thighs” and how relatable the tune is for fans nationwide, Clarkson couldn’t help but to gush over Block’s spirited personality and vocal abilities.

“I love your vibe. I love your music. I love your voice, I think it’s like authentically country,” Clarkson said. “That’s what I love most about it, but your personality is awesome as well and people don’t realize with artists, they want to see a personality as well, and yours is amazing.”

“I’m excited for you… I’m excited to see what you’re going to do in country music too, I just think you’re a really rad artist,” Clarkson added. “I also think you’d be fun to drink with.”

During the show, Block also performed her latest single, “My Bar,” alongside her full band, composed of Sarah Jones, Jake Remington, Joe Bart, and Josh Beale.

The 2022 ACM New Female Artist Of The Year nominee, Block, wearing a “My Bar” branded leather jacket over a blue shirt with a diamond-encrusted heart-shaped necklace, gave a sassy performance of the tune.
