Kelly Clarkson just announced a brand-new EP of cover songs!
On Wednesday (May 25), The GRAMMY award-winning superstar and host of The Kelly Clarkson Show revealed that she will release a six-song EP of her favorite cover songs performed during her talk show’s Kellyoke series.
“Music is in the DNA of everything I do, so when The Kelly Clarkson Show started we knew it was the perfect way to kick off every episode,” Clarkson shared in a press release.
She continued, “Over 500 songs later, and we’re still not running out of amazing artists to pay tribute to. Picking just six was near-impossible, but these songs have been some of my favorites. Thanks for singing along with me y’all!”
To celebrate the announcement of her covers EP, Clarkson shared the first recorded cover from the EP, Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever.”
Clarkson first performed the Eilish hit during The Kelly Clarkson Show’s Kellyoke segment on September 30, 2021.
Arriving on June 9 via Atlantic Records, Kellyoke (EP) will feature six tracks, including covers of Linda Ronstadt, The Weeknd, Whitney Houston, Shaed, and Billie Eilish.
Kellyoke EP track list:
1. “Blue Bayou” (by Linda Ronstadt)
2. “Call Out My Name” (by The Weeknd)
3. “Happier Than Ever”(by Billie Eilish)
4. “Queen Of The Night”(by Whitney Houston)
5. “Trampoline”(by Shaed)
6. “Fake Plastic Trees”(by Radiohead)
Throughout Clarkson’s EMMY-winning daytime talk show, the hitmaker and Texas native has covered hundreds of popular tunes across all genres from pop to country, including her recently raved about Harry Styles “Falling” cover.
